Dear readers,

Does anyone know what the approximate price of a Thai cow (buffalo) is and where you can best buy it near Korat? Is there a market in Korat like near Chiang Mai where buffaloes are mainly sold?

Thanks for your tips.

Regards,

Paul

Paul, 3 months ago a young cow calf was born at my neighbors and I could buy it for 10000 Bath. But it has to stay with its mother for almost 1 year. A family member of mine still has a young cow for sale, one and a half years old If you want to know more about it or a recent photo, leave a comment, but for that bargain price that Bob John mentions, you don't have them here.

Count on 50.000 baht for a healthy adult cow, if you want I can ask you a few things in korat.

According to my Thai wife you should expect about 50,000-60,000 baht

I just checked with my neighbor. He sells an adult male for just under 30.000 baht and an adult female for 40.000.

    Dear Paul,

A Thai cow is not a buffalo. I've seen adult cow prices ranging from 15.000 to over 40.000.

Last year I bought three adult cows with three youngsters of about 6 months for 100.000 baht. It should be added that the wife who cared for the animals had passed away so she had to get rid of it quickly.

    What do you want,…. A cow or a buffalo…? This is a substantial difference…!!
