Dear readers,

Fortunately, I read that traveling from the Netherlands to Thailand remains possible, our question: We (both fully vaccinated) want to stay in and around Hua Hin, does that mean when you are outside that you have to wear a face mask all the time?

Regards,

Egbert

I live in Hua Hin. Certainly until October 1 you cannot enter as a tourist. And yes, face masks everywhere.

Why not come to Hua Hin as a tourist? After two weeks of quarantine, you are welcome everywhere in Thailand as a tourist. Also, or certainly, in Hua Hin.

      Dear KO,
If you have completed 2 weeks of quarantine, you can travel freely throughout Thailand, including Hua Hin.
I have only stayed there for 14 days.
Soi 94 and surrounding area was pleasantly busy and seemed as usual 🙂

Bangkok is dark red on the Thai map. As far as I understand, you can only get out if you have your own home in another province where you are registered. So you can forget about being a tourist in Hua Hin.

The answer is YES. Throughout Thailand, wearing a face mask outside your own home is mandatory.

    Hey Egbert,
We have just been back 2 weeks and you do indeed have to wear a face mask outside. Doesn't matter if you're vaccinated. I don't think it has changed yet. Good luck

Mask wearing mandatory throughout Thailand, no exceptions

Seems like a superfluous question, especially in Thailand.
Are you going to wear a face mask because it is mandatory, or because you show your responsibility and respect to the local population. Everyone knows what the situation is in Thailand with regard to vaccination policy, so every bit helps and certainly as farang, so do it, mandatory or not. Stay healthy everyone.

It may be that it has to be in Hua hin. However, I see many Thais and foreigners walking around without a mask or under the chin here in Huahin.
Haven't seen an agent say anything about this yet. I also don't wear a face mask on the bike (doesn't work because we now find approx. 10000 cases daily) Never had any problems.

On Jomtien I currently see people ON the beach not wearing a face mask (not even in a beach chair)

You don't have to wear a face mask when exercising outside, as far as I know.
