Reader question: Suitcase with TSA lock and code forgotten
Dear readers,
Help Wanted. I have a suitcase with a TSA lock, suitable for America. I have forgotten my code and I can only open the suitcase with a key that is not supplied with the suitcase.
Customs at some airports have such a key that they can use to open your bag without knowing the code. I have asked several shops if they could help me but unfortunately no luck. The seller is also clueless. My question is, have more people faced this problem and how did they fix it?
Any help is welcome. I live in pattaya.
Thank you very much for the effort.
Regards,
Charlie
1,000 possibilities and not like ATM blocked after 3 wrong attempts. Half an hour of work.
Hello DD, thanks for your response, my question is now, can you help me with that?
My phone number is: 038374608 or 0851926850.
I like to hear from you.
Sincerely,
Charlie.
Assuming it's a three-digit code just start at 000, then 001 and then continue until the lock opens: that seems to me what DD means. Do you really need help with that?
see if this helps

Have a look on youtube. There are 7 different TSA locks. With a bit of a good look, which one fits your suitcase, you will find the right clues. I had a new suitcase and couldn't open it anymore. From the store they gave me this advice. And it worked
Maybe you can do something with this? Hope you succeed with this information. https://www.tas2go.nl/blog/tsa-slot-instellen-resetten/
Otherwise, jump on the Pattaya > Suvharnabhumi bus a 132 baht x 2 (return) and ask the customs at the green channel to open it, but have your passport with you, and hopefully all good goods in the suitcase!
Unless the advice above could help you , and depending on the value of the case , I suspect it is not a TSA padlock , otherwise use a hacksaw or a very respectable large solid wire cutter
Dear Charlie, I also had this once, but with an empty suitcase... Tip is to set all locks to "1", with a sharp object under the bet. turning knob and then moving 0 by 1 each lock 1 number at a time until you feel that the sharp object (potato peeler knife in my case) shoots into an opening. Write down that number and continue in the same way with the next number locks.. Hope I am clear in my explanation….Good luck
Just start at the front with 0000 and then 0001 etc. etc. Then you will get there yourself.
Success.
You can also try the code step by step as well. It is still reasonable to do with a 3-digit code. It will take a while, but it will not be solved immediately via here. 001, 002, 003…
Succes
It takes some searching on the Internet, but maybe you can get further with this link:

Putting pressure
– Press the “open” slider and turn the wheels. You can feel when the pallets fall slightly into the wheel. You repeat this 3 or 4 times and then the lock is open.
Good luck, Bing.
