Dear readers,

My dear Thai girlfriend took the Civic Integration Examination in October and since then we have to wait 8 weeks for the results.
This takes a long time for both of us and we wonder why the assessment cannot be made within a short period of time. Imagine that high school final exam candidates would have to wait that long too... It's no different, maybe we paid too little for it. But the price was fixed.

The Basic exam seems to be simple but in my opinion not for people from Thailand when it comes to listening and speaking.

My question is, apart from my annoyance about this: suppose she fails on a part, how can she get further training in Thailand to successfully retake that part of the exam, after which we will probably have to wait another 8 weeks for both of us? Especially the listening and speaking part is a big problem for Thai.

If it is successful, the IND must also think for another 90 days. That means that, apart from necessary Covid measures (and the IND says she must stay there until there is an MVV), we cannot see and feel each other for a very long time.

I haven't put € 6 in my bank account for 15.000 months and if I did, in which expensive hotel could I have spent my quarantine?

Well, it seems that the occasional long separation is good for love, but I'm already 67 and she's 56, so we want to enjoy the years to come.

Perhaps someone reading this, who has a good command of Thai and Dutch and lives in Central Thailand. Private lessons are welcome anyway, because the misery only starts with the Basic exam. But also to prepare for the Dutch exam for residence after the first five years, personal education is always welcome!

Sympathetic payment for this from the Netherlands guaranteed!

Warm greetings from autumnal Netherlands,

Dolphin

I have been teaching Dutch in Bangkok for 10 years for both integration and conversation. My integration success rate is 100% so far. I give private lessons in Bangkok and online at very reasonable prices. I can speak some Thai but not perfect. I've never needed this either. See also my Facebook page Teacher Dutch Bangkok.

      Dear Gerard,

      what is your rate?

      Good regards,

      Dolphin

      • Gerard says up

Rate depends on the number of hours to be purchased. E.g. at 25 hours 600 thb per hour and at 50 hours 500 thb per hour. There are also special pricing packages for A1, A2, B1 and B2, for example. Please contact me via my Facebook page Teacher Dutch Bangkok or via messenger Gerard Woestenenk.

        Regards Gerard.

My wife reported within 2 weeks in March that you had passed…
And it took about 2 months for the IND to receive the approval notice

He has a school of Dutch for integration and Dutch A2 there
    His web site is http://www.dutch4thai.com
My girlfriend had good results there and a good basis for A2
