Reader question: Is young cheese available in Thailand?

Dear readers,

Does anyone know if young cheese, young cumin cheese and young farmer's cheese are also available in Thailand? By farmer's hole cheese I mean a cheese that has not yet fully matured. I don't want young cheese, especially not from Frico or Grand d'Or. That's all factory cheese.

If it is not available here, then maybe we can import the cheese together with 10 people. Of course there must be someone who receives the whole cheeses and cuts them into pieces of about 700 grams (a cheese weighs about 7 kg).

There are plenty of cheese farms to be found. A cheese knife and a sealing device must also be purchased. In the future, we may also be able to import other foodstuffs. How about roll mops and smoked eel, among other things. This remains good for approx. 6-7 weeks. Can also be frozen. Do you know that if you buy camembert or brie for the top price here, you throw away 40%. If you are interested, my e-mail address is: [email protected]

As far as I am concerned, whoever wants to receive and distribute the cheese can get his own share for free for the effort.

Would love to hear comments.

Regards,

Paul

  1. Maybe you don't need to reinvent the wheel? See: https://www.dutchexpatshop.com/nl/verse-kazen/stukken-kaas or this: https://www.worldwideholland.com/eten/kaas/verse-kaas/

The Arla Gouda cheese (Big C) is reasonably edible, but it is not a Maaslander – green packaging.
It is better to throw the Frico in the rubbish bin after purchase without tasting it.

Why you should throw away 40% of a purchased piece of Brie escapes me somewhat.
    I always eat it whole.

I think there are many companies throughout Thailand that sell various Dutch cheeses, and also import them from the Netherlands. With us in Hua Hin there is also someone who sells Dutch cheese. Just look on Facebook and you will always come across an address.

Dear, I think it is better to have the cheese sent to your address yourself.
and you also have to take care of the distribution.
But there are quite a few Belgians in Thailand who import cheese from Belgium.
Just google it and you will know immediately

    Greeting.

Hi, why don't you make your own cheese?
I regularly make my cheese from 20 liters of fresh cow's milk, which is brought to my house when I call.
    Yield 2 kg of cheese.
You can't make cheese from supermarket milk.
The taste of the cheese can be regulated by means of the cheese cultures you add.
Young Gouda is edible after 3-4 weeks

Am in the process of setting up a snack bar in Ubon Ratchatini.
Frikandel special sandwich, ham sandwich, crocket sandwich, I have it all.
Would like to work with someone to build this out.
Large space and good location : Huay Muang opposite the lake/park where many groomers come in the morning and evening.

    Really many possibilities.
Would love to hear a response.

Is the snack bar open yet?
Do you have a more precise address and possibly opening hours?

And maybe I can help you with some tips as an ex teacher of consumptive technology?
