Dear readers,
I want to apply for a Non O visa based on marriage. I am married to a Thai in the Netherlands. For the 1-year extension in Thailand, I need a birth certificate to register the marriage, but do I have to request a copy of the certificate (which is in Dutch), or is a multilingual (international) extract also good (that is a summary of the birth certificate in several languages)?
I already have a multilingual (international) extract for the marriage certificate. Hopefully that's okay too.
After that it still has to be legalized at the CDC and Thai embassy in The Hague, I read. But I don't want to be faced with surprises when I'm in Thailand later, because then it will be a lot of hassle to arrange papers from the Netherlands.
So the question is should I have a statement or a multilingual extract?

The multilingual excerpts should be sufficient.
But don't forget to legalize it in the Netherlands at the minus of Foreign Affairs.
Then have it legalized again at the Thai embassy and only then translate it in Bangkok and legalize it again at Foreign Affairs.

Thank you for your response. I am going to apply for the multilingual. I understand that translation is also possible in Bangkok and seems a lot cheaper to me.
