Reader question: How can I book with a voucher at Thai Airways in Brussels?
Posted in Reader question
Tags: Thai Airways International, Airline ticket, Voucher
Dear readers,
I have a Thai Airways voucher for an amount equivalent to the flight that was booked at the time, which I can use for a next flight to be booked. The voucher states that if you want to book a flight and use your voucher, you must book this via the local Thai Airways office, Brussels in my case, and therefore cannot be done on the Thai Airways website. But now it appears that the telephone numbers that were previously active have suddenly been disconnected! Proximus announcement that the number no longer exists is the only thing you will hear.
So I sent an e-mail with the question how to book, but so far no answer! I suspect that the offices (and telephone connection) will only be operational again when Thai flies back to Brussels, October 01 known until now. Do I now have to wait until that time to be able to book with my voucher?
I would like to fly around December 20, but don't want to be too late to book! Anyone with the same problem and question? Any advice?
Regards,
Peter (BE)

Recently I emailed Thai Airways to have a ticket converted. There was a quick response, and everything was arranged in no time. Since I also have a voucher, I am curious how to use it. Hopefully one day they will fly again.
For me, Thai air is no longer reliable, I have paid my family trip through Mytrip since January 2020, the trip would be to Thailand in July, it was canceled by them due to COVID and there was no clarity. Naturally the paid has been reclaimed which to date has defaulted legal aid is now working on it via mis casey specialist in reclaiming travel claims. This is crazy for words.
leon ,
I had my tickets for flying last April converted to this year April via an e-mail, and yes, a while later I received my new tickets with the new date.
Also this year my tickets were canceled for flying in April and I received vouchers for it that I can use all year 2022, I will then have the correct dates adjusted by means of an e-mail to Thai airways
So I can confirm your answer!
Looked at their website.
https://www.thaiairways.com/en_BE/contact_us/index.page? (Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge browsers, Mozilla Firefox does not work properly)
No physical addresses, only e-mail addresses and a Cargo telephone number.
The administration office does have a physical address, e-mail address, telephone and fax number.

Hopefully they can help you there.
Hi Theo, thanks in advance for the information. I immediately called this phone number, but also here the message that the number is no longer in use. I am now going to try that email address, and in the meantime I have also heard from a friend who is staying in Thailand that it may be possible to book it via Thai Airways BKK, via the LINE app. You could call and book with them via this app. Already made a report, but of course a response may not be until tomorrow given the office hours.
Apologies Peter (BE). The editors of airlines-airports.com apparently did not update the data.
Looking at the booking page of the Thai Airways website I see that on 12-08 they start a flight from BRU to BKK which starts with a flight to FRA with Lufthansa. Then with Thai Airways to HKT and then with Thai Smile to BKK.
Until the beginning of August, all flights between Belgium and Thailand will go via Frankfurt and Thai Airways still has branches there.

Hello Peter. I have now (hopefully not against my better judgement) ordered a new ticket for 2022 and exchanged my voucher for it. I arranged all that through [email protected]
That went great!
First indicate when and which flight and then (but they will ask for it themselves) email your voucher to them and then it will be arranged. I had my new tickets within 2 days,
Regards Jan.
If Brussels is (permanently?) closed, your local office will probably be in a neighboring country.
Give it a try in Frankfurt: http://airlinesoffice.com/ticket_office/thai_airways/frankfurt.htm .
If Frankfurt can't help you, there's still London or Copenhagen or Paris:

http://airlinesoffice.com/ticket_office/thai_airways/copenhagen.htm
http://airlinesoffice.com/ticket_office/thai_airways/paris.htm
Otherwise you have a problem. Until when is your voucher valid?
Thank you all for the information and tips! Finally received a reply 10 minutes ago from the email sent 14 days earlier to [email protected]. They now report that they can only be reached by email (working from home), and that everything is arranged by them regarding booking new flights using vouchers. Just passed on all info regarding booking the new flights (using voucher), and they will send me the new tickets. So we are waiting hopefully for a reply email with the necessary tickets. In case there are other people in the same situation, … I hope to have informed you with this. Regards, Peter.
I myself have two canceled airline tickets … I have already sent an email twice and called at least 20 times…. without result.
