Reader question: Experience with courier services in Thailand
Dear readers,
I have a question about courier services that work in the area of the Dutch embassy. It is a document that has been translated and legalized by a local notary and by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Bangkok. However, I failed to have the document legalized by the Dutch embassy in Bangkok.
The embassy indicates that I can have the document delivered by courier. On the internet there are quite a few companies that offer this service, now this service is quite important to me, a trip to Thailand to arrange things myself is not possible at the moment. Losing the document would be an absolute horror.
My question to the readers is therefore whether anyone has experience with these types of companies?
I also wish everyone a fantastic end in beautiful Thailand!
Regards,
Erwin
Simply using EMS is reliable and you can track every step where your document is I have used EMS until now and nothing has ever been lost.
Just using EMS is reliable and you can follow every step where your document is, I have used EMS till date and nothing has ever been lost.
I mean something else. Documents must be delivered in person to the embassy, so-called couriers are available for this. My question is whether there is any experience among the readers with these types of companies?
Documents will indeed have to be sent from the Netherlands, I then have the choice of UPS and DHL.
UPS, DHL and EMS are all three courier services.
Okay. Then it may very well be that I don't understand it properly, or that I can't express it properly.
Sending a document to the embassy is of course possible, but it will have to be collected in person after legalization, I don't know if I can do that with EMS UPS or DHL. That is why I am thinking of a “courier service” that offers this service. They make an appointment at the embassy after receiving the document to be legalized, pay and collect the document. After which they also send the doc back to the Netherlands.
I did everything with a translation agency recognized by the embassy.
Contact them and they will do the necessary.
Make an appointment with the embassy and send the document to your address afterwards.
You always talk about personal collection” that means that you have to collect it yourself, you cannot have it collected by another person, for example from a courier service.
If for some reason you can't pick it up yourself, call the embassy and ask for a solution. In my experience they are always very helpful.
Dear Erwin,
Contact Eric. He has a good reputation for all actions. We ourselves were duped to hire a Thai agency and the costs suddenly doubled when they had the papers. Luckily got it back. Eric has a website http://nederlandslereninthailand.com/ and you can respond there or his private email [email protected] Then you can be sure that everything is neatly arranged.
