Home » Reader question » Reader question: Looking for a reliable address for motorbike rental in Hua Hin
Dear readers,
Does any of the dear readers have any experience renting a scooter/motorbike in Hua Hin?
I would like to know where I can rent from a reliable address.
There are many shady landlords in Thailand, as I read on this blog. Therefore this question: who knows a reliable address in Hua Hin?
Thank you very much,
Mart
In Hua Hin it is fortunately not as bad as in Pattaya (from what I heard). There are many landlords on Pethkasem Road or on Soi 94 next to Bangkok Hospital. Also near the station. I used to rent in Soi 94. There is an internet café with a coffee bar opposite the new large hotel. Mrs. Wan rents and she speaks good english. They are very likeable people.
I once rented a motorbike from the Fat Cat http://www.thefatcathuahin.com/
The owner is a Norwegian who runs a guesthouse. You can also have a nice breakfast there. Can't miss sitting at the pier where the fish is processed.
mart.
If you have a well-known fahrang in Hua Hin who wants to rent his scooter to you, you are in any case well insured.
That's really important.
Ask Steve from Say Cheese soi 74, he probably knows one.
this is my father and has been living in huahin for 9 years
he can help you has 2 houses and also rents out a villa in huahin

Hi Mart I have a number of insured scooters for rent. You can get information at my restaurant “aroi Dee” We are between cha-am and hua hin. Close to the novotel.
Hi,
If you want to rent a bike, do so with someone who has insured them. There is a large rental company for cars and bikes
Everything is insured address is Hua hin carrentel soi 80, has more than 60 bikes and is also cheap if you want it for a long time
We are going to Cha-am for 8 weeks in January, can I also come to you to rent?
@want to. Naturally. I have 2 Honda automatic transmissions and 1 Yamaha automatic transmission. All insured and well maintained. 0878025144
Perhaps in excess.
You must have an international motorcycle license to drive and be insured in Thailand .
Available at the ANWB.
Please do that, I've already seen too much trouble for my liking by those who think, that won't happen to me.
You can't get away with 1 moped driver's license.
Also check the insurance first, there are some for 300 thb per year that you really don't get along with if something happens to you.
This is mandatory .
I pay 3000,-Thb per year and I don't know better that this one is the best.
It is therefore understandable that a motorbike rental company never takes out the best insurance.
So my advice to rent from a farang may be better.
