Dear readers,

Who knows if this is correct? My daughter has a shop for which she has to pay 530 baht every year for the permit. You have to keep track of the data yourself when you have to pay again, she will not be notified of this.

You have to pay in cash up to two years back, which is a car return journey of 140 km. But she forgot, and then they came over and said that the bill was still open and she had to make the 140-mile drive there. Payment could not be made immediately. She is also fined 5000 Baht. Outrageous at a sum of 530 Baht. How do they make the population even poorer.

Now we get the bill at home and she can also pay at the bank.

Regards,

Hans

    Hans,

    What is that permit for?

My wife owns a hair salon and pays nothing to the government.

Yes… not nice, but I think rightly so… after all, you entered into this commitment yourself at a certain point… And knowing what the possible consequences are if you do not pay, it is still important to put a cross on the calendar when you must.
140 km is not next door, and for people without a car, or no money for a taxi, it is a trip around the world… but still, of two evils one must choose the lesser evil.
Fortunately, it is now easier through the bank…

Know what small businesses do not pay VAT in Thailand and do not pay income tax on their earnings. The Thai tax authorities have an arrangement for this that small 1-man businesses and other small businesses pay a fixed amount for VAT and therefore do not have to account for any administration. There is a tax-free base for income tax that many small entrepreneurs cannot exceed. The amount of the levy that I know is 5000 baht which is collected by the tax officials who reside in the tessabaan / amphur or sometimes in the provincial capital. Is that perhaps what your girlfriend can pay? Ultimately, the Thai tax authorities also want more and more companies to file a return and they are quite active in tax collection and know/have seen that the officials go from door to door with payment requests and a sound car is used to report this. doing.
