Dear readers,

Are there any readers here who recently applied for a Schengen visa for Thai in Bangkok? I wonder if it will take longer and if it will be more difficult than before, due to the Covid-19 problems.

Regards,

Ronald

Ordered last Wednesday and excellent service. Everything as always.
Everything was handed in within half an hour and photos were taken.

Also applied yesterday, looking forward to it. By the way, I have a question about that, the visa has been applied for with an option on airline tickets. Do I have to stick to those dates, or is it a 3 month visa that starts when you arrive in the Netherlands (Schengen).

No, Freek, the visa holder does not have to adhere to the outward and return dates specified in the application.
What the visa holder must adhere to are the validity dates ('FROM xx-xx-xxxx' and 'TO xx-xx-xxxx'), NUMBER OF ENTRIES ('01' or 'MULT'), DURATION OF STAY ('xx DAYS') of the visa and a stay in 'Schengen' of up to 90 days (not 3 months) in the last 180 days.
The duration of the 'Schengen insurance' must correspond to the number of days that the visa holder is in 'Schengen'.

Sounds like a bus Theo. If necessary, also see the Schengen file via the menu on the left here on TB. Such an option or reservation on airline tickets can be free to virtually free. See it more as an extra check/confirmation that you will indeed be traveling around date X to date Y. And you have not accidentally entered a completely wrong date on the application form. Once you have the visa in hand, there is still plenty of room for departure and arrival, provided you never stay longer than the visa sticker explicitly states.
