Legalization of the proof of income from the Dutch embassy?
Dear readers,
Concerns legalization of the proof of income from the Dutch embassy. I read that this is now also being asked at Immigration Jomtien and at various other offices for some time. Who has experience with having this legalization taken care of through a (mediation) office? Then please state name, duration and costs.
I ask this for people who have difficulty traveling and / or have to come from far.
Thank you in advance.
NB: I am NOT asking for the procedure to do this IN PERSON at the Thai Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Regards,
French
Editors: Do you have a question for the readers of Thailandblog? Use it contact form..
You can take your annual statements of your income to the Austrian consul in Pattaya Nua. He makes an addition and a statement of your income. You can wait for it and it costs nothing! This has been accepted in Jomtien for years.
And since when does he do that for free?
For many years, Ronny!
Sorry Ronny, I made a mistake. Of course, the Income Statement costs 1600 Baht at the Austrian consul, but he stamps the Proof of Life for free…
You can also do it this way you put your income statements in an envelope with a return envelope written address in Thai!!!! Add 1700 Baht in the envelope and you will get everything back neatly (except for the 1700 Baht of course 5555) sent the income statement for immigration and your own income papers sent to you. km to a corona fire Pattaya, then with the mail quickly and safely !!!!Take advantage of it Gr. CASPAR
As is clear from Ronny's response: it currently costs 1700 baht. The correct price (I thought 45 euros) depends on the exchange rate.
It's very simple. Download the relevant document from the embassy's website. Complete this document and send it to the embassy with the requested documents. You will receive your income statement within 2 weeks. Costs €50.
This is the desired follow-up process. Namely, have this document legalized at the Thai Ministry of Foreign Affairs. This is requested as an extra at various immigration offices and now also in Jomtien.
Dear French,
Maybe SC smart travel in BKK can do something for you, his name is Amnat Somchit and also does legalization of documents. He is reliable and keeps his promises.
You can discuss the duration and rate with him.
His mobile number is 0819151191
Regards Rudolf
To date, I have never had to legalize the income statement drawn up in English here in Buriram.
You occasionally read that immigration offices ask this. Usually it is not necessary and it is a local decision.
It's also the first time I've heard that it would now be a requirement in Jomtien.
Will it be introduced nationally, or is it someone who was transferred from an immigration office where it did apply? Sometimes it also happens that they bring along habits from the former office until someone there says that it is not necessary here, or that they are going to introduce it for that reason.
It is of course also possible that it has been discovered that in the past applicants have tampered with that visa support letter in some way and that it has then been decided to introduce this legalization as an extra check of the originality of the document, or at least to the signature on the document.
Time will tell.

In the message from Hans of February 9th, it was mentioned that this was also the 1st time for him in Jomtien. Furthermore, the MF only works by appointment.
Grandma; not to run out of time and b: not to have to make the for some far and for me physically difficult journey to Bangkok was my question for an alternative from an office that can arrange this for a fee.
Do as Geertg writes through the embassy.
I received my visa support letter with 2021 days in the last week of January 4.
The application sent by post, fast mail including track and trace, for 43 baht and 43 baht for the return shipment.
When it comes to the “visa support letter”, Geertg's answer above is correct, but it also costs the postage of the 2 envelopes (1 to send and 1 return envelope). I have now used it twice for my visa extension, based on a Thai marriage, in the province of Sakon Nakhon.
Many times I have requested the support letter from the Dutch embassy in Bangkok in support of my application for an annual extension of my period of stay on my existing visa.
1 go to the embassy's betting site and download the application form. Print out and fill in. sign.
2 Print out a copy of the first page of your passport.
3 Print out the AOW annual report and the report from your pension provider.
4 Print out the bank details on which the AOW and your pension payments are stated. The last 3 months. Or the most recent.
And as described above. Everything in an envelope addressed to the Dutch embassy in Bangkok. Also an empty envelope stamped with your own address. In addition, the amount of 50€ in Thai bahts.
All this can also be read on the website of the embassy. You will receive the support letter by post within 1 or 2 weeks. This letter of support has always been accepted through immigration without any problems. In my case immigration in Prachin Buri.
Maybe recall the question.
It “Concerns legalization of the proof of income from the Dutch embassy. “because this is apparently being asked in Jomtien now.
He does not ask how to apply for the visa support letter.
You were just like Ronny to me, it strikes me how bad people sometimes read here.
My response to Frans was SC smart travel in BKK, they also do translations and legalizations of documents, several readers of this blog have already had good experiences with this agency.
Rudolf
Thanks Rudolph:
I can do something with your answer, if necessary.
I hope to get my year extension without legalization of my income proof.
Fortunately, you and Ronny LatYa at least understood my question. I was indeed beginning to doubt my language skills.
