Dear readers,

I have been staying in Thailand for several years and this to my general pleasure. My current place of employment is Pattaya. Now I'm terribly bad at doing nothing and always try to spend my time usefully. I have set up a small company (for now only on paper) and am now trying to find a well-equipped turning workshop for Dutch customers that is able to turn axles and bolts.

I can't find anything on the internet in Pattaya, but I can't believe there isn't a metalworking shop in such a big city. If anyone can point me in a direction and/or has personal experience with such a company, I would be most grateful.

Regards,

Piet

I lived in Banchang for 1,5 years, 2011/2012, there was a turning shop at the beginning of “the strip”, the side street with bars, from the road from Rayong to Sattahip….

Dear Piet, I myself do business with a well-equipped metal processing company in Samut Prakan (BKK area). This company, under Dutch management, produces for European, American and Australian customers. I think your pattaya won't find something like that easy. You should look more in the direction of rayong chachoengcao or ayutaya, there are probably several companies that supply the car industry and that usually have the right machines for this. But if it's just nuts and bolts, see the dark because one can certainly do just as well in Europe or for the same price (what do you think of the shipping costs)

A few years ago I saw 3 adjacent lathes in Laem Chabang with fairly professional (carousel / revolver) lathes.

      Dear Jan
Do you have any further information about this? Any address or direction where I should look in Laem Chabang?
Any help is welcome…my email is [email protected]
      Thanks in advance
