Reader question: Book tickets train Bangkok to Hua Hin

Dear readers,

We are going from Bangkok to Hua Hin from January 19 to 24, but we are unable to book a place with air conditioning in a train. We've tried the SRT and us12go website but only see fanned second class seats there, which we're not too keen on, and even if you want to click through to see how such a booking works, you can not.

Does anyone have tips on how to reserve good seats? Websites, addresses, you name it.

Regards,

dieuwke

Take a mini van and you will be in Huahin within 3 hours, the van is always air-conditioned. Enjoy your journey, better than the train, my experience.

I can't help you for the train
But of course you can also go by bus (air conditioning)
And you don't have to make a reservation for the bus either

Dieuwke, just take the bus from Roong Reuang Coach Co Ltd. Very luxurious bus with air conditioning and huge wide seats. E-mail: [email protected].
For € 18,73 per 2 people, the bus takes you from Bangkok to Hua Hin in 3 1/2 hours.
    Depart from AirPort Exit 8

    Greetings Rino

Great to do with Bell service.
You can reserve the seats now and you're in great shape. Definitely better than on the plane

      really do,

Did this ride two years ago, you could not reserve. There are several trains a day, just go to the station, buy a ticket and ride. Nice four hours of train with open windows, and enjoy the landscape. Not sure anymore, but it didn't cost 50 Bath back then.

That's on my calendar. This year it won't work anymore but next year.... Thanks for the tip and I always travel by train in Thailand. Landscape and between the cozy Thai, I couldn't wish for more

We have already made the ride 5 times and always reserved .... just 1 day in advance to the station.

Done by train last October, just bought a ticket at the station and had a wonderful journey 2nd class with very spacious seats, fan and window open.
The train leaves at about 1 o'clock in the afternoon

is there a special reason you want to take the train?
From the airport, luxury air-conditioned buses go directly to Hua-Hin.
Google air-conditioned bus from Bangkok to Hua-Hin and you can book directly.
Last year the cost was 300 Bath per person.
Have a nice trip and holiday.

We always go to the statoin in Bangkok 1 day in advance and reserve places there.

Dear Martin, Aad, Rino, Luc and Rob,

Thank you very much for these tips. We got the impression from the website that those trains were already full and very primitive, but that is apparently correct.
