Is there a recipe book for Thai dishes or a course?
Dear readers,
I am so happy with your site! I really love Thai food and try to make it myself. I am very happy with the recipes on your site. Not all recipes have the quantities, which makes it difficult for me to make. Is there a Thai recipe book or course you can recommend?
Greetings,
Mirjam

Cooking with YouTube, and then my favorite is “Hot Thai Kitchen”, she explains everything. Special videos about brands, cooking utensils, explanations about vegetables, etc etc... And lots of recipe information and quantities.
But Mark Wiens' YouTube channels, Thai Girl in the Kitchen, and World of Thai Food are also interesting information. There is also a site of “High Heel Gourmet” where traditional cooking is particularly well explained. It is a pity that she has now shifted her attention to other cuisines since moving to Switzerland (?). But my personal favorite for years has been “Hot Thai Kitchen / PailinsKitchen”

In addition to Hot-Thai-Kitchen, here's another favorite of mine:
Sorry, didn't go quite right:

Thanks for those tips! I'm going to check out the Hot Thai Kitchen.
I used to cook often, but for the last 20 years I left it at takeaway and warming meals.
After my Thai girlfriend showed me how she cooks, I started cooking myself again because I like it so much!
So now I cook almost every day. Every time the afternoon comes to an end I look forward to getting started in the kitchen 😉
I have put some pictures and videos here to inspire friends and family:

I agree with hot Thai kitchen, by far the best site. I myself am a chef in an unnamed 3 Michelin restaurant and an affinity and weakness for Thai cuisine (By working as a chef in Thailand for several years) A standard must-have cookbook that is in my top 5 best cookbooks ever is Thai food from David Thompson. A huge reference book with a lot of peripheral information and correct recipes. But you should not forget that Thai cuisine is a family affair, so not an exact science .. try and error ... Good luck ...
Thanks for your tip! I immediately ordered Thai Food from Thompson at the Athenaeum Boekhandel here in Amsterdam. It's in stock there so I can probably pick it up tomorrow.
Mini Bible Thai cuisine from publisher Veltman Translated from English. All well-known dishes are included. Book is very good and not expensive.
There are enough workshops in the Netherlands to learn how to cook Thai food. I have done this myself and this is not only educational, but also very fun to do. In addition, you will also receive all your first recipes there.
Hi Miriam,
I like the Thai cookbook; the Thai cuisine
from Kwee Siok Lan is highly recommended
to cooperate from the Netherlands!

I myself had an intern in my restaurant who followed the chef course (3 months) at thai cooking academy bangkok, this was over the top, but their online classes are also interesting… highly recommended…
I am indeed also looking for a good cooking course, which goes further than making curry pastes.
But I do have a tip. This link has hundreds of Thai dishes.
