I need loose shelves (furniture panels) Chonburi area
Dear readers,
I need some loose shelves, in Belgium these are called furniture panels. They must be cut to size. In my home country you can go to the Hubo, Gamma or Brico and at every timber merchant.
Here in Thailand this is hard or impossible to find in my humble opinion. Does anyone know where this is sold and where they can possibly cut it to size? I live in Chonburi - half way between Pattaya and Bangkok, so please somewhere in that area

I bought them at global house, for sale in various lengths and widths.

another option is of course furniture board and cut it to size.
You will have to do the sawing yourself or you will need a carpenter.
there are several shops in pattaya where you can buy furniture boards
home mart and a few more
what you have to think about is that the Thai furniture plates cannot be compared to what you can buy in NL or Belgium.
the top layer is made of a kind of paper, if you put a cold glass of drink on it, you will immediately get a swelling in the chipboard.
what I have done myself to prevent that is to stick transparent adhesive foil over it
saves you a lot of frustration
Henri, I also live in Chon Buri, and a very large DoHome was recently opened there, there is also a Thaiwatsadoo and 2x Homepro and Global and Hardwarehouse. So plenty of choice and saws? On Thepprasit Road are 1 or perhaps more carpentry factories / carpentry workshops where cabinets, beds etc. are made to order. I assume that you can also go there for custom-sawn furniture panels. Good luck !
