Reader question: I am looking for a house in Chiang Mai
Dear readers,
Just to ask my question, I plan to live in Chiang Mai in the Sanklang Sankakumpheng area.
I am looking for a nice rental house to live with my girlfriend and daughter. It is envisaged that between 5000 and 10.000 bath per month and a neat and quiet environment.
Who gives me the tip or the push in the back, I don't know that many people there yet and I don't know the area very well either. So all tips welcome.
October 17th I will be back in Chiang Mai and I can always be reached via [email protected] and further compliments with your thailand blog.
Regards,
Tommie
5000 to 10000 baht? Should there be 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms (with hot water) maybe?
A “western kitchen” and large living room with 50″ flat screen TV…
For a bit of quality you have to pay a bit more, don't be too stingy, (too Dutch) I would say...
Dear Nest commenter, what you list is not included in the request, he is asking for a house of approximately 5000 to 10.000 bth, and there are plenty of houses that meet his request, there are even partial furnishings available. is, and of course the more greater your desires are, the more expensive the rent.
So first read carefully what is being asked for, so be it!
Hello, for the price of 5000/10000 bath, you rent a studio with a sofa bed, a little house with a garden you pay between 18000 and 25000 bath, but you have to look for yourself if you want to rent cheaper, the location ultimately determines the prize, good luck,
Dear Tommy, look up http://www.jasminehomes.co.th there is a lot of choice.
I'm just coming to a conclusion reading this. Thailand is expensive, very expensive! Come there every year 2x for a week vacation with my family. Been there every winter for 15 years for 5 to 6 months. Prices are skyrocketing. I have been living in a nice rental house for so long because my current house is being renovated and I pay 5000 pesos near the beach in the Philippines for a nice house with 2 bedrooms, a beautiful garden and a front garden that is beautifully covered with floor tiles. In the freeport zone in Subic I pay 60 pesos for the beer in the Pier One, always play 2 top bands with 10 musicians and by those standards it is simply a very luxurious place to go out. Don't forget: You now get 41.000 Bht for 1000 Euro and I get 56000 Pesos for my 1000 Euro. Why is Thailand not expensive? Are they pricing themselves out of the market, that's my conclusion.
Thank you for responding to my question
Some have misunderstood my question
I'm looking for a normal house, not a villa with a flat screen because I can buy it myself
Don't look for excessive luxury with living, just find a normal house with air conditioning
But fortunately there are some tips that might help us a bit on our way so thank you for that.
And after some surfing on the internet, it turns out that there are a few things on offer in my price range
Just a pity not at the location we were looking for (but I'm open to anything)
And I can always adjust my price.
And thanks Barbara for the good tip
Regards Tommy
Tommie, We have a second house, detached, fully furnished in Chiang Mai (San Sai) 200m2, we only rent it to acquaintances, we have been living 5 km away for 2 years and we will agree on the price
Regards Dick
Up to 10.000 bath you can rent something simple in Chiang Mai is my experience (I have been living in Chiang Mai for 5 years) Regards Dick
