Dear readers,

We are planning a trip through Thailand and are considering traveling to Hua Hin by bus.

If we book tickets in advance, are they valid for all journeys on the day of arrival or only at the booked time? Suppose you are delayed…?

Yours faithfully,

Marleen

    Hey Marleen,

There are continuous buses to hua hin from bangkok >

so buying earlier is not necessary.

from north bus station (victory monument)
    180 bath
every day between 6.00:19.00 and XNUMX:XNUMX.

    every 30 min.

    southern bus station
every day between 3.00:22.00 and XNUMX:XNUMX

    160 bath & every 40 min .

by train is also possible from hua lampong (I did) 3 hours train ride 250 bath

    Enjoy Thailand!!

Never buy bus tickets in advance.
Can often step in like this.
    But I travel alone.
You're talking about us. I think 2 people. That should also work.

The buses also run from south bus station. The big buses also leave here. You can book this on the day you arrive. The mini buses also depart from here. From the airport you also have a direct bus to Hua Hin.
The train is an option. The early train around 8 am is often full. You usually have room for the next 9.20. The subsequent ones are more luxurious. For train times see http://www.railway.co.th
The cheapest place is 44 bath and you really enjoy being among the locals. Comfort a little less.
Traveling by mini bus is less successful if you also want to take suitcases etc. with you. They are not really set up for this.
From Victoria just go to the south bus station and there the normal bus is better.

The bus goes to hua Jin every hour, you don't have to make a reservation, you just go along,
    2nd option is the train

We recently took the bus on arrival at BKK-Suvarnabhumi. View on
http://www.airporthuahinbus.com/ For information. Have not made a reservation but will book immediately upon arrival. The bus was not full because the price from the airport is more expensive than from Bangkok city. The VIP bus has a (clumsy) toilet and seats have a lot of space. On arrival in Hua Hin we rented an open vehicle to our hotel for 200 Baht.
