Dear readers,

Following my reader's question 'declaration for Belgian tax authorities' of 1 July 2017, I was confirmed today at the Thai Tax Office/City Hall in Chiang Mai that either a 'form 90' or 'form 91' can be handed over to a resident retired foreigner after taxation in Thailand (PIT) was paid to 'The Revenue Department', but that these forms can only be used in Thailand.

However, after settlement of the foregoing, the Thai tax authorities will issue the form “Income Thay Payment Certificate” stamped and signed by the authorized official, which can be submitted to the Belgian tax authorities.

Please respond from Belgians who have experience with this.

Thank you.

Regards,

Willy (BE)

Have you actually seen those forms? And what does it say: declared income, paid income tax or both?

I have a blank copy of both copies.
I will send them to you if necessary.

I got those forms the 90 and 91 stamped after paying tax here.
She was sent to the Netherlands and tax authorities in Heerlen accepted and received an exemption.
Perhaps that is also possible for Belgium .
