Dear readers,

My wife and I want to cycle from Chachoengsao Railway Station to Koh Chang without going past Pattaya and also not on the boring and much too busy 344. Are there people / cyclists who have already done this?

There are almost no sleeping accommodations to be found on the internet. We want to cycle a maximum of +/- 60 km per day.

Thanks in advance.

Regards,

Jacks

Will ask my brother to send all the data. He did this in February on a tandem.

There is a simple solution: on your navigation equipment just choose direct route (or touristic if there is that option) and exclude highways and expressways.
To be honest, the first part seems boring to me. Why not drop off by bus or van on the coastal road to Koh Chang past Pattaya? You will also come across plenty of resorts there.

      We cycled this part.
I have plotted the route via RidewithGPS.
Everything indoors and max 60 km per day.
When do you want to go, I will pass on the routes

    Hi
I cycled from Pattaya to Koh Chang. Use the maps.me app. there you can indicate that you are going by bicycle. You get a beautiful route along the coast with even a piece of cycle path.
I certainly wouldn't cycle out of Bangkok. Busy and dangerous. You can take the bike on the bus. Often you have to remove the front wheel. Nakonchai air is a good airline. Take first class. Then the bicycle comes with you in the same bus. You can then go to Chumpon by bus

You can still just take the 3 from Bangkok and then stretch along the sea.
From Leam Chabang take the 36 to Rayong.
I have not cycled it but in February we had an overnighter from Ghent in Uttaradit who was doing a 6 month cycle tour.

Oh for spending the night with the couchsurfing app works great and is great fun.
