Dear readers,

I have stated the following English insurance statement from ONVZ:

In the event of a temporary stay in Thailand, from …. up to and including … ,the costs of unexpected treatment, ie in case of an acute illness or accident, will be fully reimbursed as per the official rates valid in Thailand and in
in accordance with the health insurance policy's scope of cover. Traveling to a risk area (travel advice color code: orange or red as indicated by the Dutch government in relation to COVID-19) does not affect the insured's scope or level of coverage.

ONVZ has 2 stars, but it is not clear to me whether you can enter Thailand with this? Does anyone have experience with this insurance to travel to Thailand?

Regards,

Evert

Dear Evert, Yes, I arrived in BKK last Sunday based on my approved Thailand pass with the standard ONVZ statement and WITHOUT US$ 50K. Even against the advice of my travel agency, we tried it anyway and it was also accepted after approx. 7 working days. This statement obviously goes significantly beyond the requested 50K. In addition to my ONVZ and travel insurance, both with world coverage, I simply refused to take out an extra 3rd insurance policy that does state the amount of 50K! By the way, my quarantine was over after 10 hours with the message PCR negative and I checked out.
    Good luck Evert!

after I read on TB that health insurers do provide you with the necessary paper to apply for an exit document I also made the switch from CZ to DSW top the coverage is extensive and they provide you with a paper for medical care without any hassle $100.000 coverage/covid
thank you readers and commenters of TB

We also switched to DWS and received the letter with the mandatory amounts without any problems. The only health insurance in the Netherlands that does this
. You can still opt for this insurance until 1 January
