Dear readers,

During my presence in Thailand, I lost my departure ticket for immigration, which is in the passport.
What should I do now, and what consequences can I have?

Yours faithfully,

Lucien

Does not matter. Fill in a new one when you leave.

    Hi Lucien.
That also happened to me last February, I only found out when I was at customs at Phuket airport. I could get a new one for 400bath. I don't know if this is against the rules, but he didn't make it difficult. Regards Jan.

Filling out a new card at the airport before passing through immigration is no problem. Happened to me before.
Why don't you raise these kinds of questions with the Immigration Department in your area? Are definitely not bogeymen but the opposite and happy to help you!

Ticket only? ? I would first visit Immigration in advance and NOT wait until you are at the airport with your departure ticket.
I once lost my passport with everything. An official report from the police and received a “Lassez Passer” at the NL Embassy. Was enough they said, just report on departure, and done!.
NOT SO. And follow Immigration at the time of Don Muang, the foreign embassies knew very well about this.
“How are we as TH immigration supposed to know if your pass has not been taken away by the judge, and you still have to appear here somewhere?” was his answer.
Nix flees, next day to Immigration, with proof when I came in, and an hour later they had part 2. Then it could be verified and I got a new one.
Then arrange a new ticket. Many thanks to those NL suckers at the NL Embassy.

I experienced it myself in December.
Had it in my suitcase just to be sure and it was still there after I had already checked the suitcase.

The customs officer was angry, got a new ticket, filled it in and everything was cake and egg again.

    Greetings,
    Kidney

      Kidney

You mean the Immigration Officer instead of the Customs Officer because the latter has nothing to do with this.
Most of them look sour anyway, especially at the airport.
I think most drink a bottle of vinegar before the start of service instead of coffee.
They do have to deal with something like this several times a day so I don't think they are particularly concerned about a card that is still in the case.

Next time write down the number and preferably scan it and save it in your email. Print and done. An extra staple can also be a solution.

    Dear Lucien,

    Nothing bad.
Go report it to Immigration tomorrow and you'll get a new one.
Your number will be adjusted in the system and resolved.
As far as I know there is no penalty or anything for loss.
Let us know how it turned out and everyone will have an experience richer again.

    Hello
A few years ago I experienced that on a visa run, 100 bath for a new note and really no problem.
    do not worry

I even needed it to check into my hotel, never knew it's so important.
