Contact with Thai in the Netherlands

Dear readers,
I would like to introduce my Thai girlfriend, who is still in Bangkok, to Thai women here in the Netherlands.

She can find various Thai groups via social media such as Facebook. Once here, she will probably also come into contact with Thai citizens (m/f) via restaurants, massage shops, temples, etc. Getting to know a few compatriots is nice to help the emigrant on her way, but I would also advise every emigrant not only in remain a bubble with compatriots and therefore also make friends among the local population. This speeds up self-reliance through knowledge of the language, society, etc. But that is ultimately up to the Thai or Dutch emigrant himself.

My now ex has built up three circles of friends from the start: the Thai for everything that has to do with food, the mixed group of fellow students from the ROC and the almost entirely native well-trained volleyball players from her club. Learned a lot as a result, a very broad and very useful network, also for work, including a permanent job at De Bijenkorf. If things turn out differently, you do not have to contribute to social services benefits for up to 12 years 🙂 as an additional advantage. And she is always on time for appointments, assertive so that she can manage her own affairs. But it's just what you want... because with your knowledge you initially determine life in a new country.

there are 2 large Thai temples, 1 in Purmerend and the other in Waalwijk.
Every day/weekend and during the Thai holidays she can go there and meet many Thai people.
In addition, there are various Thai events in the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany in the spring and summer period.

Don't forget the temple in Musselkanaal, a fairly large temple in a former Protestant church.
