Reader question: Who knows a budget hotel in Pattaya?

Dear readers,

I will spend the winter in Thailand, Cambodia and Vietnam. I like to start and end with a week in Pattaya. You can do anything you like and the location is great for transport to and from the international airport.

Used to stay in Christal Palace near Nuklua market, but after renovation it's too expensive now. Does anyone know accommodation where you can get for 300 bath per person
can stay per night?

Thanks in advance.

Regards,

Johan

Ps I prefer to stay 3 months traveling in a budget room than 3 weeks in a luxury hotel.

Backpacker Time Guest House – Pattaya

There are so many cheap hotels in Pattaya that it is not a problem to find one. I would not easily share a room with others[6], so a kind of dormitory. You can go on the bonnetip.

Just walk down 2nd Road or Soi Buakow you will see many signs with hotel prices of 300 Bath and even 200 Bath. Just don't expect a nice view, usually you will be looking at a blank wall.
    Good luck with your search.

      Hello.

You will not find that many rooms here in Pattaya at 200 or 300 bath per day for a week, 500 seems better, I pay 7000 for a month, in a second road soi because I rent for a year, I know there are a few 4000 a month on soi Buakhao… but those many 300 and at least 200 baht a day for a week signs, I have not yet seen them here on soi Buakhao, and yet I drive through them several times every day on the motorbike… and if you do find one for that price, air conditioning and hot water in the shower will be hard to find, and you might as well sleep on the beach…

      Best regards. Rudi…

Also take a look at Jomtien , where prices and locations are often slightly more favorable , and for 20 baht you are in Pattaya.

The Song Teaow ride costs only 10 Baht. Depending on the route followed and the pick-up point, you sometimes have to get off at the intersection of Second Road – Pattaya Thai and then you may indeed have to take a second Song Teaow. And so pay 10 Baht a second time.

300 bath is very little for a hotel – 500 bath per day for a very good budget Hotel :
Hotel Zing - centrally located between Jomtien beach and Pattaya on Trappaya Road.
    Google .
    Good luck!

is it true that hotel zing is not that expensive, but 500 ??? maybe something to do with the period. Lying is magnificent, perfect swimming pool, very good and extensive breakfast. Just a pity for most guests that others are not taken into account. Large groups, Iraqis, Arabs stay there and make a mess of it. Unfortunately, the hotel and guards do nothing about it. If you want to sleep well, you really shouldn't go there. Other than that I had a great time there last January. But have booked another hotel for next visit. And finally, Hotel Zing is now renovating, right next to the hotel they are building an 8-storey new complex with a swimming pool on the top floor. (also from hotel Zing). That might cause some extra noise during the day, if you couldn't sleep at night because of other guests.

All wonderful what I read here.
What most forget, it is high season here especially in Pattaya.
    This is different then!
I would search the internet in advance for a budget room.
And don't think it's gonna be alright
    Good luck ………….

Finally someone who tells the truth it is very difficult to find something in high season

I've been looking for an apartment since May for the months of December, January and February.
up to 400 Euro per month but always get FULL FULL FULL .. so it's not that simple.

      good luck;
      Emmy

      @Richard,

      I'm talking about high season.
When I come to Pattaya it is always the Pop-Inn hotel as already mentioned on 27/08.
In the beginning it was about 350 bath, but yes the times change there too.
Around New Year's Eve it is slightly more during 1 week. This is therefore the most expensive period..
I have never booked in advance myself. Arrive, ask for the key, pay for your first day and get your room.
Actually it used to be occupied by traveling Thai, but now also more and more Farang.
      Fortunately no Russian yet.
      Sincerely, John

    Pop inn hotel..
500 to 550 baht per day .. quiet, clean, air conditioning, refrigerator and color TV.
That is bizarrely little. I have been coming there for years. Friendly welcome in a small hotel.
10 minutes walk from Walking street. So no noise if you are tired of partying.
A little Thai has been taken along. English is a bit more difficult.
Free parking for car or motorcycle.
Even your laundry is done for a ridiculously low amount.
I have brought friends several times who in turn also advertise, which means that I am no longer the only farang and that I think it is a pity.

Take a look at the booking.com, agoda and asiaroom pages of this world, plenty of choice for the real bargain hunters, often hotels with reviews from previous guests.

Also take a look at apartments and rooms that are offered for rent for a very nice price. You only have to arrange your own breakfast, but you will survive that too. Offer on the internet or directly on site, countless choices.

Another very important note: you are talking about a price per person. In Thailand, a room rate is also charged at a hotel, regardless of whether you are alone or with two. This is also the case if it concerns an arrangement with breakfast.
So you can say that you are relatively cheaper here with two than as a single, and the hoteliers / tour operators in Europe should actually take an example of that.
It is also the case that the daily price for a hotel or apartment with hotel service includes a number of services (changing bed linen, cleaning the room, internet and cable television, often also water and coffee in the room) that you would otherwise (if you rent a room or apartment) all have to pay extra.
And last but not least: book in time! You talk about hibernating, so I think you plan your stay here in December-January and March-April?
I can give you a note that, if you have not booked in advance, you will not find any room available here between December 15 and January 15. Unless an expensive luxury room in one of the large luxury hotels (which has been increased in price out of opportunism).
From April 13 it is Songkran here again and the associated crowds start here around April 9. Many farangs who live here flee the crowds here, but that does not outweigh the masses of Thais who come to take a holiday here.
Good luck and have a nice winter!
    Kito

Centrally located directly on Seconden Road, air conditioning, shower / toilet, fridge / minibar, swimming pool, restaurant, lockers available, 24/7 reception, free wifi, television, girl friendly, soaps and shampoo, you will not lack anything.
They just don't take reservations in advance as far as I know. If there are no more rooms available, there is a sign at the reception, otherwise you can just move in until you want to leave. Breakfast is optional, you can eat your fill in the morning so you can get through the rest of the day on your beer calories. 🙂
Come on, go crazy, now 650 Baht per night for a double room. There really isn't much to save on that, while you have to compromise considerably on comfort and safety.
