Dear readers,

Could you please let me know if all ARL and BTS stations in Bangkok have escalators to/from the platform?

And which buses run from Khao San Road to the Grand Palace?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Yours faithfully,

Samantha

As far as I know most escalators have them but not on both sides.

    Dear Samantha

Just like Pascal's response, all BTS stations have escalators and not on both sides, it is also questionable whether they go down or up.
Most BTS stations also have an elevator.
But if you are on the wrong side of the road from the station, that is of no use to you.

To the stations almost all. Of the stations… none I think.

In the BTS stations there are two levels:
-an intermediate level where you buy the tickets
    - a higher platform level.

From street level to intermediate level there is usually an escalator up, but sometimes/usually not on both sides of the road. There is only a lift at a few stations.

The same applies to escalators from intermediate level to platform level. There is almost always an elevator here.

At 99% of the stations, there are no escalators going down between any level.

The first 5 steps are concrete, then there is a plateau with the escalator,
