Dear readers,

I'm looking for a school for children who need extra attention, my daughter is 8 years old and can't keep up at school.

We've thought she might have LD (learning disorder), but it's still hard to figure out what it is, especially here in Thailand.

A smaller class will already be a great improvement, but not to be found here in Songkhla.

Of course I already inquired about other schools, but didn't really get any further.

Maybe you know more.

Regards,

Alex

    Dear Alex,

I'm afraid I bring you bad news. I work in Thai secondary education myself and have never heard of schools with trained teachers for students who need extra (or different) attention in one way or another..
I could be wrong and I would like to hear about it on this forum.
I myself have the impression that Thai parents of children with learning disabilities would rather not be reminded of this and then take the right measures regarding the education of their offspring.
I myself have a few autistic students in my classes every year and I am not even informed about this in advance, I only find out later.
I wish you a lot of succes.

If you have any questions, you can always contact Behavior Point.
Maybe we can help you remotely.

    With kind regards,
    Chile Vinke
