Dear readers,

I am going from Ban mo to Sukhothai on January 8th. My question is: when I arrive in Phitsanulok by train, do I still have to take the bus to Sukhothai.

Could someone tell me from where the buses depart to there and whether there are multiple departure times or whether it is better to take a hotel in Phitsanulok for 1 night?

Regards,

Joop

Take a taxi, it's only an hour and will cost you less than a hotel.

Depending on when you arrive, count on a 1,5 to 2 hour drive to Sukhothai.
There are also mini-buses, which run in an hour - info available at both the train station and the Bus Terminal.

The Bus Terminal is located about 1km from the train station - enter 'Phitsanulok Bus Terminal' in google maps, the train station is then on the left a little lower.

There are two bus terminals in Phitsanulok. The best in terminal 2. The new However quite away from the station.

The old bus station is terminal 1 is behind the station. Near the big temple.

The best one for the bus to Sukothai is the new one near highway 11. Is bus terminal 2. Samo Khae, Mueang Phitsanulok District, Phitsanulok 65000, Thailand

Advice take a taxi because you are already in it from the station. Let you drive through. For 1000 – 1500 Bath you are in Sukothai.

    Dear Joop,
The bus stop is right at the back of the station. There are very regular buses, at least every hour but usually more often. Ride takes about 5 minutes. A taxi is of course also an option.
