Dear readers,

A friend of mine is staying in Pattaya. He has osteoarthritis and has already been treated in four different hospitals for it.

Maybe someone knows a solution, because my friend doesn't know what else to do to get better.

Thank you in advance.

Yours faithfully,

Maurice

I'm no expert, but I don't think osteoarthritis can be cured (yet). However, there are ways to ease the pain. I think it's better to ask the Reumafonds if they have a sister organization in Thailand, or other advice about where your friend can go. Then you can at least get information in your native language. http://www.reumafonds.nl/informatie-voor-doelgroepen/patienten/vormen-van-reuma/artrose/over-de-ziekte

Taking glucosamine + chondritin and omega 3 can help. As well as lubricating with magnesium oil (also helps with cramps). Osteoarthritis is a wear and tear process and cannot be repaired; in the case of very strong wear, you can switch to prosthesis placement.

This doctor helped me excellently for osteoarthritis on my right little finger. I can wholeheartedly recommend him:
    Cherdchai Luangwatanapong, MD
    Department : Orthopedic Center
    BangkokPattaya Hospital

    Bangkok Hospital Pattaya
301 Moo 6 Sukhumvit Road, Km. 143, Banglamung, Chonburi, Thailand 20150
    Tel. +66 3825 9999 (Overseas) Fax. +66 3825 9990 Hotline Call Center 1719 (Local)

Dear Bob, can you tell me what the doctor was able to do about your little finger? My little finger is inflamed, swollen and painful. My doctor (Bangkok) said nothing can be done about this, let's hope it stays with that one little finger.
Of course I would like to go to Pattaya for this. Thanks in advance.

        hello carl,
removal of the ligament is the only solution, but then the joint can no longer be bent. The stitches are still there, after 3 years, needless to remove, says the doctor. Only if complications arise. And I have more joints with osteoarthritis but no pain. For the cortizone solution, see below in this list

only a solution moving to a very dry climate, too much humidity here, Morocco is super dry and osteoarthritis will disappear very quickly.
I am not an expert but have a friend who lives there and very pleased.

    • grain says up

Osteoarthritis does not go away, unfortunately. It's a joint disease. But indeed a humid climate is less suitable, but whether that should be Morocco exactly? Maybe Sahara better?

Do not eat meat, but do eat fish and eggs, which sometimes helps with various forms of osteoarthritis.
Completely vegetarian is even better. This together with a homeopathic treatment.

Osteoarthritis can indeed not (yet) be cured, only (a little) pain relief is possible.

What does help to prevent the osteoarthritis from getting worse is moving a lot (just being busy and not lying in the chair or in bed all day) and practicing certain sports such as walking, swimming, fitness.

Fitness is so good because it strengthens the muscles and that is the best cure for osteoarthritis.

An honest doctor-rheumatologist (so also in Thailand) will (have to) give you this information and (may) not make any other promises!

Also try a diet without nightshade vegetables.

I agree with Peter. The best is vegetarian food. If that is not possible, try to avoid acidic foods as much as possible. Fruit and vegetables are generally not acidic anyway, so they are healthy. To find out exactly what acid is and what it isn't, look it up online - there are many books on the subject, including ebooks. Eating that kind of food has a huge impact on conditions such as osteoarthritis. No processed, fried food. No sugar. Only vegetable fat. Lots of water, little or no coffee. Better no dairy products. The best is herbal tea and rooibos tea. Plain black tea is no good either. Alcohol only in moderation and occasionally, some wine maybe but certainly no beer.
It's a different way of life almost with this kind of diet, but I can assure you that it helps a lot with osteoarthritis.

There are already several good advice in the comments, study the info on this site: http://www.jimhumble.is.
Also achieved good results with homeopathic remedy dysplavetsum drops from Dr. Vogel, see their site, you can also ask questions via email, whether this is available in Thailand I do not know, otherwise order in NL and have it sent by post, then the chance largest on arrival, not via DHL, DHL post is usually checked by customs and if something looks even a bit like a drug or medicine it will be taken. Or ask an acquaintance to bring this from NL or make an appeal via Thailandblog.
Wish your friend strength and all the best.
    Success.

Indeed not with DHL, but which transport company is there, where you can be sure to see your collie with medicines appear at your doorstep in Thailand without being checked?

      • Nico B says up

Hugo, that is already stated in my response, that there will be no check with certainty is a utopia, the Thai customs can of course check everything with good law, with the post they do this randomly, with DHL systematically.

Want to add this to my response, there is still uncertainty about it, but if osteoarthritis is actually caused by infections, then the immune system is not completely in order, then consulting the site: http://www.jimhumble.is worth the effort. Have had very good experiences for many years with the treatment methods practiced there, including specifically for strengthening the immune system.
    Success again.

The best solution is a cortisone injection, last year I had 2 injections in my shoulder joints, within 1 hour you already have relief.
This is because cortisone dissolves the calcium deposits that arise due to the wear and tear of cartilage.
What also works, what I still use is MSM (methylsulfonylmethane) this is a sulfur compound to take, this ensures better lubrication and pain relief, also has to do with calcium metabolism.

Cortisone injection in bangkok pattaya hospital .
If you want to know where to get MSM in Thailand, send me an email

Frank, where can I buy the MSM (methylsulfonylmethane).
      I live in Khorat (Nakhonratchasima)

      thanks in advance

In an earlier comment I indicated that I should take a look at this site: http://www.jimhumble.is .. that should be:
http://jimhumble.is. In my opinion it is definitely worth taking a look there, what everyone does with it is their own decision, as I said, I have been using it successfully for years.
On that site you will come across MMS1, which is the main drug that is used, this drug can be ordered in Thailand via the site mentioned by Frank http://www.thaiorganiclife.com, located on Koh Samui.
          Success.

Correction: it is a (temporary) solution. Over time it no longer works and removal of the ligament is the only solution, but then the joint can no longer be bent.

In all the mentioned comments I have not read anything about Finitro forte Plus, a dietary supplement and Dutch product that can be ordered worldwide via the internet. It relieves pain through natural painkillers, promotes the production of new cartilage cells, promotes the production of joint lubricant and slows down the inflammatory process. If the osteoarthritis stage is not too advanced, Finitro forte will have a healing effect, if the damage in the joint is too great, the condition can only be stabilized and the pain will not increase further.
I can say from my own experience that the product works well, after 1 week you will get the feeling as if you are 18 again! It also makes sense, because in your body about 350 joints have been made flexible again!!!

I myself had to have an artificial knee fitted 2 years ago, because the breakdown in this case was too serious and beyond repair. Incidentally, successfully treated in Overbrook hostpital, Chiangrai
