Left! On November 2, in a quarter-filled plane, we will leave filled with papers and digital storage of all papers, on our way to Phuket via Doha.

Our Thai dog, who arrived safely in the Netherlands in July, is going down in the hold to her native country.

Fortunately, a valid visa, because free travel is still not in sight. With our CoE, negative PCR, all papers for our dog Buddy, we let go of the pre-stress for a while.

Down. Movie, book, sleep… Pfff… In Doha, a short stopover, we board our last flight, another CoE check. Now, miraculously, an almost completely filled plane. Young people, the elderly, children, many nationalities! Wow! How nice for the tourist sector in our second homeland.

Phuket, we're here, had a great night's sleep, all the papers there, here we go. Into the paper check mill. The Thai employees receive us in white suits, face masks and at a distance. All chairs are ready, and we are neatly placed at the first check.

COE, PCR, passport and T6, completed arrival card, received on the plane. Our first check goes smoothly. And we can already see the preparations for the Thailand Pass. It will come next week. The umpteenth change, flexibility is required here.. Then on to Immigration, of course passport, visa and now also the insurance check. Approved!

Baggage, Buddy! Oh…how happy she is! Paper, and microchip check Buddy, our suitcases and hoppa. We walk through the shouting queue of SIM card ladies and change ladies. Here, no here, come to me, as usual, they are very happy. Tourists! Revenue! Finally!

We have another schwab test at the airport, that also goes flawlessly, passport, tube with barcode, to the schwabber, and towards Sha + taxi. Morchana App, not requested.

Buddy can I walk for a while.. luckily, she pees endlessly. And hungry.

We drive on the renewed wide road to Khaolak. Buddy is already allowed in our house, we are going to our quarantine hotel nearby, 1 night. Our schwabs are covid free, yes!!

After our hotel breakfast on the beach, finally….

Home Sweet home! Back again! Relax mode!

    Hallo,

actually a question that I can probably answer myself after some research, but still. We also have a dog (Yorkshire terrier 7 Kg), we have never taken him on a trip to Thailand and usually pay about 600 € to leave him in a dog hotel for a month.
How do you arrange transport of the dog?
Is there no quarantine period for the dog to stay in the airport, can you just take your dog with you?
We plan to leave at the end of this year for a period of more than 2 months, also fly to Phuket but then visit family in Roi Et.

      Hi,
I'm trying to tell it briefly, but it's not just arranged.
Chipping, rabies vaccination, passport that's the least. And definitely start on time. See site LICG, https://www.licg.nl/invoereisen-per-land-buiten-europa/#thailand
Then find a company that takes dogs to Phuket, Qatar in our case.
You must also have a special crate if your dog has to go in the hold, IATA approved.
Buddy was 14 kg so had to go at the bottom.
A dog can sometimes take up to 8 kg on the plane, in the cabin, but I don't know if that includes a travel crate...
There is no quarantine (which is indicated) but you must have an import permit and a health certificate. The paperwork must be correct.
      See site LICG.
All in all it's quite a job, especially the first time of course, because you don't know how it works.
The costs for the flight vary per airline, and are usually based on weight and crate size.
For Buddy it was 300 euros one way.
Well this is the short version….:)
Hope you can do something with it.
      Success!
