Reader Submission: Visiting beautiful Phrae
Following one of the recently published articles on Thailandblog, I visited beautiful Phrae last week! Here you will find the real Thailand, where children and adults still shout “hello” to you, where the menus are only written in Thai and where only a few speak English.
In this beautiful town, within the old city walls, I found a wonderful lodging house. The owner has a private collection of antique furniture and about 8 months ago he opened 4 guest rooms. Rooms to say “you” to. Who can say that he slept in a museum in the middle of a lush green garden. And what kindness from the family. Breakfast included, free bicycle and walking distance from the night market.

Truly a beautiful place to live. But here too we have recently seen an increase in the number of tourists. From all parts of the world. (incl Fox travel) but I agree with the writer, it's still pretty authentic.
Well worth a visit and easy to reach by car and bus and a direct flight twice a day with NOK Air.
