My girlfriend reported to Changmai Ram Hospital this morning, 05-07-2021 at 10.00:XNUMX am, to register and to prepay for the Moderna vaccine.

At 13.45 pm she called me to say that there are still a lot of people in front of her, more Thai than foreigners. One of the employees came to tell her that people were already there at 02.00:XNUMX, they also said that registration for Moderna can be done via Line. Since both she and I have no knowledge of this, she wants to ask her son. So she went home empty-handed.

I'm thinking about it myself, but have to discuss it with her, to be there tomorrow at 04.00:13.00 to get in line and stay until XNUMX:XNUMX. After that it gets too hot.

    Dear,

I registered with the THG via my Line account for the Moderna vaccine last week. I also made the prepayment for 2 vaccines via Kasikornbank.
The vaccine was said to be available in October. If due to circumstances in December the Moderna vaccine is not yet available, I will be refunded the money.
Today, however, I read in the Bangkok Post that due to all kinds of abuses, Moderna may not be in Thailand until next year.
I'm already looking forward to another vaccine, maybe you better do that too.

    Goodbye,

    Geert.

    Additional to my message.
Talking to my girlfriend on the phone and in Thai, I misunderstood.
    Now she is back home.
It turned out that the Changmai Ram Hospital has stopped the registration of the Moderna (fully booked).
She also asked doctor Ratya, who she encountered in the hallway, what the situation is with the Pheizer that I ordered from her on 01-03-2021.
Nothing is known about that yet, she also waits, for herself with sorrow.

My wife sent 20.000 baht to her family last week to have them vaccinated with Moderna in Ayutthaya, but that would also not be until October, but they had to pay a fixed deposit.

It remains strange that if you do not want to be vaccinated with sinovac or that other Chinese drug that you have to pay for, then I say to all the rose-colored viewers that I am glad that I live in the Netherlands with all its shortcomings and rules, but now that it really matters, it is all better organized than in beautiful Thailand.

Embassy could have rolled up its sleeves. Great service for the relatively large group of older Dutch people. Hide behind EU government. Yes every country is different. It takes little time to find out where action could be taken. So apparently they also agree with the vaccines that are now “available” here… astra n cinevac. But we will not do that in the Netherlands. Considering everything that is happening, you would expect some action in this pandemic. When? The question is also why not. Does it run smoothly? Vaccines are available... flights are available... It is then a service from the Dutch government if you want to wait or think that keeping distances is also okay... you have the choice

    Stay safe

Rob, according to my wife (Thai) it was already impossible this morning to register for a vaccine online at CM Ram Hospital.
That you want to sit there in the hospital tomorrow at 4 o'clock makes no sense because full is full, in other words it is of no use at all to go to the hospital.
But not shooting is always wrong and maybe there will be a hole left.
I indicated weeks ago that I wanted to pay for a vaccine, received the necessary hateful comments from the blog readers, now I let it come to me and see when I can / may buy a vaccine.
So just living by the rules and being happy with my family in Thailand, at least you won't get a heart or stomach ache and we'll keep Covid out.
No, I'm (trying) to joke about the vaccine situation in Thailand, but don't be fooled, you're only hurting yourself.
Be happy with the Thailand of today because in a few years the Chinese will be in charge here, the latest news is that the Transport Minister (????) wants to make the ports accessible for large shipping, first Thailand itself had to trying to gather costs together without outside intervention, but he has already recovered, no more money in the pot and the foreigners (that is the Chinese) can buy in, I think this is called the new silk route, Chinese invest in projects that are geographically important to them.
Again be happy with where you are, or you must be a patient who has a high chance of dying without being vaccinated, have a glass of wine and think about what you still want and can achieve in Thailand.
According to my friends (collect) who live in the Netherlands, France and Australia (where I have lived for years myself) I am crazy to stay in Thailand, maybe I am too and that's why I started to love this crazy country, let's say kind seeks kind and again we are happy here, despite the fact that we have to work hard for less, but that doesn't make me less of Thailand (except for this government).

This does give me food for thought.
That the Moderna is sold out within a short time.
That the Thai people do not trust the government vaccines, which are free, the Astra and Sinovac.
They also get free from the US the Pheizer 1.5 million, for the pregnant women and elderly people, in the red areas.

Yesterday evening my stepson already made an appointment for the three of us at the Sirivej hospital in Lamphun via line.
We'll see what comes out of here.

    Source : The Thaiger, July 6, 2021;
Deliveries of the Moderna vaccine will take place in the first quarter of 2022 at the earliest…
The sharply reduced deliveries of the Astra Zeneca vaccine, produced in Thailand, are partly due to the deliveries abroad that were contractually agreed…

I had also registered myself some time ago in the Bangkok hospital in Pattaya. Was surprised that I had not been informed about the possibility to register for the moderna vaccine. Anyway, I emailed it and this is what I got to read.

“Thank you for your feedback and we do apologize for the delay to our inundates emails.
Kindly be informed that due to the overwhelming number of patients' reservations, the online booking is already fully booked after it was introduced at midnight of July 1st. We do regret for any inconvenience it may cause since the email notifications were sent late and most likely had some errors in getting through but please be assured that the hospital will set a new date to launch the vaccine reservation. We will provide updates via the following channel listed below:

Well that's quite reassuring. We can sleep peacefully again and get up healthy because we are thought of and next year somewhere the vaccine. The doctor's advice is mainly to stay indoors and take a seat behind the Thai geraniums and of course keep the mouth patches on. And as my grandson says Thailand is the best and he should know it.
