Logically. You can't just start importing/exporting all sorts of stuff. Sometimes it works but usually it doesn't.

Is rubbish from ACON, approved by a scam club, which calls itself EU and freely available in that area of 450 million people, including pharmacy scammers.

Where it was purchased or who approved it is completely irrelevant as far as importation is concerned.
The only relevant thing is whether it can be imported freely according to the import list that Thai Customs uses, or whether, for example, an import license is required or import duties have to be paid.

Small packages sometimes manage to slip through the cracks, but often not. Annoying but that's how it works.

Then I must have been lucky. A pack of 10 Covid rapid tests, shipped on August 4 by regular mail, was delivered to me in Hua Hin on Friday, August 20 without any issues or payment.

Fortunately, packages have also arrived. striking: faster in upcountry Chiang Mai, than in the heart of Samut Prakarn. The first shipments all came through, the last ones.. after the proclamation of 4 manufacturers, which were approved by the Thai FDA, only 1/3rd. Fortunately, many Thais have been cured of palpitations, fear and clammy sweat, and wobbly knees.

I didn't send them, just had them with me in my suitcase when I flew to Bangkok a month ago. Nobody said anything about it.

My son sent me a package marked “Family presents” containing 3 boxes of 5 rapid tests each. Neatly arrived within 2 weeks.

. The first time I sent a Covid test to my wife in Surin (June 2021), the package with the self-test was delivered by post to her home. The second time I sent a Covid self-test (August 2021), she received a letter from the post stating that she could pick up the package in Chong Chom (65 km from Surin). When she arrived at the post office, she was asked, Who sent the package, how much did it cost in euros?, which was then converted into BHT. A group of Thai officials asked several questions after which they came to the conclusion that tax had to be paid on it. 1500bht. There were 18 self-tests (85 cents each in DL). After some time and discussions, my wife was able to take the package with her. I don't think it will work anymore.
