Dear readers,

I want to draw your attention to the Swedish film 30 degrees in February. A series about Thailand, a total of three seasons of 10 episodes per season. You can download the first two seasons via spotnet (newsgroups) or watch the series via Netflix. Shots were made in Pattaya Walking Street and Phuket. I've only seen the first two episodes and I think it's funny.

SERIOUS Inspiration: 30 Degrees in February

30 Degrees in February is a completely different series than we know from Scandinavian soil. In recent years we have been spoiled with excellent thriller series. The Swedish series makers also appear to be able to create an excellent drama, with a very striking approach. No cold and dark images, but sun, sea and beach. But also a lot of drama, because this series was nominated for an international Emmy in 2014.

We all know the big blockbusters, but Netflix offers many more great series. These are often series of which you have seen the name, but have no idea what it is about. There are some real gems that are more than worth binge-viewing. To get you inspired, we highlight one series every week.

30 Degrees in February

In 30 degrees in February, four tracks are followed, with the final destination all being Thailand. No less than 600.000 Swedes have already been to the Asian country, which is no less than seven percent of the total population. The reason for leaving is diverse, as is the case in the series. A middle-aged couple goes there on vacation. The man is in a wheelchair and completely soured, his wife decides to secretly plan the trip. This is actually not good at all, because he prefers to sit in the air conditioning in his room. And she creeps slowly out from under her husband's yoke, for she falls in love with the land.

Happiness as the final destination

A portly engineer falls in love in a completely different way. Lonely in his room in freezing Sweden, he chats with a girl in Thailand. He takes the plunge, buys a ring and a plane ticket to visit her. There's one little problem, he pretended to be a handsome man. It continues to be no problem for the girl at first, but then? The third track is about a woman with two children who is addicted to her work. One day she collapses completely and loses part of her ability to speak. When she carefully cleans up, she gets caught in the same web again and decides to move to Thailand. She spent a fantastic holiday there with the children. On a secluded beach in the hotel Happiness. Once there it turns out to be closed and for sale. Without hesitating for a second, she buys it, but why?

Finally, an original Thai man is also followed, who tries to save his son from the gutter. For that he returns to Happiness, because that was his island. But suddenly everything has changed. The series has a lot of drama, with a substantive message and many recognizable points. Enjoying the beach in peace is not possible in some places, because within a second there are five salesmen around you. It makes for very uncomfortable television at times. But will all Swedes eventually find the happiness they got on the plane for?

The first season from 2012 can be seen on Netflix. The long-awaited second season is currently running in Sweden in the spring of 2016, when it will become available on the streaming service is not yet known.

addicted to this series. Season two can also be seen on Netflix. At first I loved it because it was mainly shot in Thailand. Feast of recognition and unfortunately also a bit of homesickness. But I quickly found the characters to be interesting as well. At first I felt a little sorry for them…sympathy. But halfway through the series, that changed.

Have seen it, Unfortunately bad actors and the beautiful wife of the Swede is really not a ladyboy.
If you know Thailand it's a fun series. But little reality about, for example, visas and work permits. Nice story and nicely filmed.
Highly recommended for the Thailand connoisseur…

A nice series indeed (also for your possible Thai partner!), we have seen both seasons. Part 2 also runs on Netflix, was made available there about 2 months ago.

It is available on spotnet, but you have to search after 30 grader in February
was posted 14 days ago, two seasons.

    Most look for 30 degrees.

Especially if you know Thailand it is illogical then you see a piece of Walking Street
then Phi Phi islands, then they are back on Phuket.

But as others say beware it is addictive, especially those beautiful images of Thailand,
it does indeed make you homesick, and what do you think of those bungalows on that island, super.

Is Oh (Duangjai Phiao Hiransri) really a ladyboy?? don't think so, it's a great series, now have to find season 3.

oh (Duangjai Phiao Hiransri) has its own facebook page and the series itself also has a facebook page search on 30 degrees in febuary

oh is a real woman didn't think otherwise, but a beautiful woman,
came across the piece below on flashback see link.

No, she is an actor named DoungJai Hiransri and is a real woman since birth and thus has no dick. The character Oh is a transaminase played by the actor. There should at least imagine a man with breasts and female forms of hormone treatments.
