Hello everyone, I am going to Thailand at the beginning of May and have already received the Thailand Pass since today. Waited for the rules to loosen up a bit. To be afraid of quarantine during a test. Haven't seen my girlfriend in a year now. So am very happy.
So I want to thank the editors for the tip to arrange an Allianz insurance statement. And everything went smoothly. So now I'm going for three months and pay for the medical travel insurance € 12,39 in total. I am 73 years old so not expensive for me. No medical check or anything for that insurance either.
Arranged through Ronald, who will ensure that you receive the English statement. So it took me 2 days. First take out the policy and then send an e-mail to Ronald: [email protected] with your policy number. Then he arranges it quickly. The statement was approved for the Thai Pass.
Here where I did it: https://www.reisverzekering-direct.nl/allianz-global-assistance/verzekeringsverklaring-voor-thailand-pass/ There is also an example of that statement at the bottom, if you want to see it first. The statement is valid for 12 months.
Just a little while and then I will enjoy the country and my wife again!

Theo,
You do not write which visa you have applied for.
for a 60-day tourist visa, the Allianz statement is sufficient. You can then extend to 90 days in Thailand by 30 days.
For a normal tourist visa of 60 days you do not need insurance at all
Don't you have to apply for a Thailand Pass that requires insurance?
Yes, and what does that have to do with the visa?
If one cancels that ThailandPass tomorrow, it will not change anything about the visa application.
A medical insurance for 12 months as you indicate yourself is at least 49.56 if you do not insure anything else. Minimal coverage. It's unclear to me where you get that 12.39 from.
Maybe you charge 4.13 per month. But then you have to do it honestly x 12 and not just x 3. Continuous insurance is one year insurance. Short-term is even more expensive.
Completely correct.
With a tourist visa, the question of insurance only comes with the Thailandpas.
However, if you try to get 90 days through a Non-Immigrant – Oh,
is already included in the list of required documents for the visa application, the specific insurance is stated with extra inpatient and outpatient. The Allianz insurance does not seem to comply with this.
It seems that when you apply for your 90-day visa, the Embassy immediately checks whether you have the right one
have insurance.
That is a specific visa requirement. Has nothing to do with the Thailand Pass at all.
Even after the disappearance of the Thailand Pass, this will remain a requirement.
This is the case with a Non-immigrant OA – 100 Dollar or 000 Baht.

And if you are married, that insurance is not necessary with a Non-immigrant O.
But for your Thailand Pass of course
But if you go for 90 days and you want to avoid that visa requirement, it is indeed better to request a Tourist visa instead and extend the 60 days by 30 days.
You only have to prove the ThailandPass insurance.
