I'm getting pretty much the same.
I made a vlog about it for a few weeks. I don't know if it's allowed, if not I'll remove it, but here's my vlog on youtube. Yes, it was my first vlog.. https://youtu.be/a3-WHty5Z0Q

I also make a distinction in the above: The flight, accommodation, travel, food and drink, trips and incidental costs.
    Well, for the enthusiast.

Traveling through Thailand, how much does it cost?
Who can answer that now? After all, that depends entirely on the personal requirements of the traveler. Does he want it as cheap as possible – does he want it super comfortable…..?
A smart traveler who first draws up a budget of what he wants to spend. Then, as the Flemish proverb says, 'he sows according to his pocket'. No one can give a sensible answer to this.

      Certainly not you
      It says, roughly, an estimate

      • Lung addie says up

        Oh yes Mark,
I can make an approximate estimate, even with correct figures and will already give you an example:
        – to Koh Samui:
        combination train – ferry: 1500THB
        by plane: 6000HB
        – an overnight stay:
0/n THB: You sleep under a bridge somewhere
6000/n THB: you sleep in the Hilton Hotel.
        - a meal:
40THB a 'delicious full meal' of warm water, with some vegetables in it and 'traces of meat':

20.000THB a full meal, with all the trimmings in a 5 star restaurant:
Do you want to base your prices on such a price?
Those are questions to which no one can give a decent answer, or, is it a question to even ask?

          Dear Addie,

What I've learned a long time ago is that when it comes to money, discussions and opinions can run high here on our blog.

I wouldn't get too worked up about it. The question of what traveling in Thailand costs is of course impossible to answer. Even making an estimate is useless.

I remember a similar topic with the question "how much money do you need to live in Thailand?" … there is no decent answer to that either.

The only correct answer is that everything depends on the person in question… everything else is guesswork.

Agree with lung Addie. Can you adapt or not?
Do you dare to eat Thai or expensive steaks at a luxury restaurant or do you have to sit where mcd is?
And so it is with hotels and transportation. So very personal and how much money you have to spend are decisive.

    Remark
When traveling over long distances, a tip is take a night (SLEEPER bus) 3 seats in width).
Will it save you a hat lover's night?

Regularly take the bus from Utaradit to Jomtien. Can also do that because I have my own transport in both places.
Advantage no stress of the journey (7 to 8 hours) also ideal to Bangkok. TV and internet and own display as in the plane

Tip for local transport: In some cities they also have Bolt and Grab taxis. They are a lot cheaper than the tuk-tuks. At least they have them here in Hua Hin. You can download the app on your mobile and when you order a taxi, the app will indicate the price in advance. Safe and cheap. You have to pay in cash if you don't have a Thai bank account.
