Daily use of a supplement with a high dose of vitamin D appears to reduce the risk of serious cancers, such as metastatic or fatal cancer. This is evident from research by Harvard University, published in JAMA Open.

In the study, known as the VITAL study, approximately 13.000 participants took a vitamin D3 supplement at a dose of 2000 IU (50 micrograms) every day for five years. A similar group of people received a placebo. The researchers tracked which participants developed cancer, whether the cancer spread, and whether they died from the cancer.

Although vitamin D supplementation had no influence on the development of cancer in general, it did reduce the risk of metastatic or fatal cancers. In the group that took vitamin D supplements, the risk of serious cancer was 17% lower than in the placebo group.

Interestingly, the effect of vitamin D was stronger in people with a relatively low BMI.

The researchers conclude that daily supplementation with a high dose of vitamin D for five years reduces the risk of serious cancers, especially in people of normal weight. They suggest that more research is needed into the effect of vitamin D on cancer patients and the difference in effect depending on BMI.

They emphasize that vitamin D supplements are less toxic and cheaper than many current cancer treatments.

Vitamin D3 is extremely important for our body. It is involved in more than 2000 processes in our body.
If you take vitamin D3 you should also take vitamin K2 (MK-7), Magnesium and Zinc. Only then can vitamin D3 reach its full potential.
For example, vitamin D3 together with K2 ensure that the calcium does not remain in your blood vessels but is delivered where it is needed... our bones.
Vitamin D3 and K2 are fat-soluble vitamins. So don't drink too much water while taking them and take them while eating something fatty. Of course, the healthy fats including coconut oil, olive oil or ghee butter, nuts and the like or just a hot meal.
An additional fact: the people who died from Covid were generally older, obese men who had many chronic conditions and upon examination were found to have very low vitamin D levels.
