Dear Martin,
I have a general question for you. When do you have high blood pressure? It doesn't make sense to me on the internet, because almost all sites use different values.
Perhaps you would like to comment on this? What accounts for 50 + 60 + 70 +
Regards,
A.

The guidelines, largely drafted by industry-compensated physicians, aim to lower blood pressure further and further with no evidence that it improves quality of life or longevity. Of course extremes are not good, but they never are.
Too high can cause kidney problems, heart problems and strokes, etc., too low can cause accidents due to dizziness, complications after a stroke, etc.
Advising what is right depends on many factors, which in turn have to do with other ailments and the unique characteristics of each individual.
So I can't answer the question properly.
In general, higher than 160/100 is not good and lower than 110/70, but that is not always the case either.
Yours faithfully,
Dr. Tie-down
