Dear Martin,

Now I don't have a question for you how sick am I, but how healthy can I feel. Let me introduce myself, I am 78 years old, weigh 110 kg, height 200 cm, blood pressure average 135/85…pulse 45-50 (we have already had contact about my low pulse about a year or so ago which was apparently normal for me at the time). I don't use any medication, never smoked, no alcohol, I'm in good shape, everything still works. I have been living alone in my apartment in Pattaya for almost 5 years now.

I can feel good, but I may also have hidden defects and because of that I go to a laboratory in Pattaya every year where I hand in my morning urine and my blood is taken sober. Altogether there are at least 30 different things that are measured, most of which mean nothing to me… I am very lucky that at the end of each line it is stated exactly what 'normal' would be. To my great surprise and of course satisfaction, all the determined values fit in the 'normal' box. Even if the bad chloresterol turns out to be too high, the pro ratio rule will be fine again… I also saw over the 5 years that I have been doing this that the 'normal' of the PSA value had been reduced to norm 4 in the previous 7 years, now to well above 4.

I cannot judge whether the values they indicate are correct, I really shouldn't doubt that, but what I would like to have checked is that all 'normal' values that are mentioned are correct. For this purpose I have passed on the recently received 4 x A4 to the editors separately.

Thank you in advance for your time and effort.

I don't know if this is such a general question that the other bloggers can use, but maybe you know if other members also struggle with this question.

I am happy to leave any placement to you.

Regards,

J.

Dear J,

This is worthy of congratulations.

Indeed, this is not often asked. Such an analysis is rare. You see that sometimes in young people. The elderly I've seen with such a lab. have invariably lived past 90, except for those who had the misfortune of encountering a hungry doctor. So stay out of the hands of "hungry" doctors I would say, unless there is no other option.

Every laboratory has "normal values", which depend on the analysis methods. The normal values of this lab are between the normal "normal values" and there is nothing wrong with that.

Sincerely,

Doctor Martin
