Was all quiet here in Kanchanaburi/LatYa.

You couldn't really tell it was Songkran.

Didn't see anything that had to do with throwing water. In other years you saw children standing along the road with their water barrel and talc in several places.

In other years you also saw families here and there celebrating exuberantly with drinking / eating and the necessary music, but it was all quiet and was celebrated subdued in the family circle.

For me, those big water fights are not necessary, but a little bit of Songkran celebration is welcome, I think.
