Thai Airways International has confirmed that it will resume non-stop flights between Brussels and Bangkok from December 1, 2024, after a temporary interruption due to the corona pandemic. The airline will offer these flights daily, which is a significant sign of normalization in the aviation sector.

The flights will be operated with a Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner, which is equipped with a two-class configuration: Royal Silk Class and Economy Class. This aircraft is known for its advanced amenities and comfort, which contributes to a superior flying experience for passengers.

The flight times are determined as follows:

  • Flight TG935 departs Brussels daily at 13:10 PM and arrives in Bangkok the next day at 06:10 AM.
  • Return flight TG934 departs Bangkok at 00:30 and arrives in Brussels at 07:05.

Reservations for the route between Brussels and Bangkok will open from June 4, 2024, available via the Thai Airways website (www.thaiairways.com).

With the comeback in the Benelux market after a major reorganization, in which Thai Airways has implemented a significant workforce reduction and streamlined the fleet, the airline is once again ready for the future. THAI recently purchased 45 new Boeing 787 Dreamliners.

Just looked at the TG website for the return flight BKK-BRU. Economy costs no less than 48000 baht in early December. I get responses like: yes, Thai Airways is not a cheap airline and last year KLM was more expensive. So I know of even more proof of the absurd.

Maybe you should also wait until June 4th…. as stated in the text and as Thai Airways has stated.

“Please keep an eye on our announcements on June 4th for the release of our launch fares in both Economy and Royal Silk Class for travel up to May 2025! ✈️ Don't miss out on these deals to be announced soon!”

I saw yesterday on the Thai Airways app for a single flight on February 1, €640 for a single flight and I signed for that (ok I used to have a return flight) but yes everything has increased in price so it has to be

    Let's hope this is true:
One transfer (e.g. Frankfurt) less = at least 4 hours saved
    One less baggage check
One less risk of strike (e.g. Lufthansa)
Slightly less risk of luggage loss and/or handling damage
I can only applaud it…. and now we also hope that the rates are attractive...
.. and what a contradiction with what some readers wrote 1 or 2 years ago: “Thai Airways is bankrupt”, “… don't book you will lose your money”… or were those readers sponsored by Qatar and/or Emirates?

Where is it already… otherwise they wouldn’t announce it I suppose.
It has already appeared at Brussels Airport

“One less risk of strike (e.g. Lufthansa)”
I wouldn't dare say that right away when you're talking about Brussels... 😉

I am also pleased that they are back as fans of direct flights. And now even with daily flights…. Hopefully with favorable prices, although that is not a breaking point for me. Just like it doesn't matter to me that I can't choose from three lunches/breakfasts with different wine choices...

        Doesn't look bad, €935 return (Feb/Mar/25) max 20 kg.

Ps. There is always a risk of strike in BRU (by one less I meant Lufthansa in FRA).
Limit risk: If possible, always leave/return one to two weeks before and after a local holiday.

Ronny, completely agree with you about the catering ... for me they can do away with the current one and simply offer some tasty sandwiches (no sponges) after +/- 4 to 5 hours of flight and possibly again, but not necessary, +/- one to one two hours before arrival (less is more).

Family circumstances have kept me in Belgium for a while, but I am finally going back on December 8. My wife has flown back and forth with Etihad a few times in the meantime. She has dual nationality so she does not have to worry about visas.
Each time it was something like 35 Baht and 000 Baht because she booked from Bangkok. Then you are also around those prices..

For me now booked a single trip Brussels-Bangkok at 537 Euros at Thai which I think is fine. Now 25 kg which was 30 kg before. Personally it doesn't matter to me how much I can carry. I never gain weight. If my wife is with me then that's a different story...
She was already enthusiastic about that with 40 Kg at Etihad 🙂

Reserving a seat was still free with my reservation and I saw that 2/3 of it was no longer available for some reason.

When we go to Belgium again, we'll see in Thailand... usually about 3 months in advance we decide when we're going to Belgium and normally that will be with Thai people again.

Since there are now daily flights I chose Sunday… the chance of strikes is then the smallest in Brussels… I think. 😉

After Singapore Airlines, Thai Airways is now also resuming flights from Brussels. Singapore Airlines doesn't fly every day and you have to change planes in Singapore, but if the turbulence is bad you might still have a direct flight to BKK (lol?).
Today I compared the prices between both airlines and they hardly differ.
