Experiences with Netflix

I am not a Netflix customer. However, I have read the question and vice versa, in order to arrive at a possible answer: are there any Thai films or other Asian or Arabic films to watch on Netflix?

If the answer is 'no', then one can assume that Netflix adapts its offer to the country of the subscribers.

If Flemish or Dutch readers who subscribe to Netflix in Thailand can confirm this, it cannot be ruled out that Netflix will 'adjust' its offer in the future…

However, I am convinced that you can watch American (and other English-language) films worldwide on Netflix.

But these are all my personal suspicions.

First of all my advice to NOT install kodi.
This file is very suspicious and I have already heard from some that they had to do a complete reinstall of the computer because even a virus scan and other "cleaners" could not recover the computer. I couldn't help them anymore.
It turned out that everything could be watched remotely, password cracked, credit card and bank details.
So much misery.
Free yes, then rather not pay ten euros a month for Netflix.

As for Netflix. These also work perfectly in Thailand.
Of course you can take out a Dutch subscription. In addition to the range of English-language films/series/docs, most Dutch subtitles and some Dutch-language films/series are also available.

A VPN connection is not required for this.
I use a Netflix account of a Dutch friend while I live in Belgium. Logging in both at the same time is no problem.
His girlfriend logs in from Thailand, and that too without a problem.
Although the offer if you log in from Thailand is indeed different (not all films are available that are available here in the West).
So if you want to see a complete range that is available from the Netherlands, you need a VPN to watch via a NL server.
VPN servers can be found for free (often with a limited speed and data bundle).
A paid version costs a few euros per month.
Mine is from Private Internet Access, and for about 5 euros per month a fast VPN connection, unlimited data limit and can be used on multiple devices at the same time.

Netflix. I now have a subscription for about 2 months here in Maerim. The choice of films and especially series is huge on Netflix. The streaming is fine, we rarely have interruptions, while we certainly don't have the fastest internet.
Somehow I had signed up for Netflix through an offer I received via email in the Dutch language. On the confirmation email I received from Netflix, I first took out a trial subscription, which I then went through properly.
With the trial subscription you will receive a confirmation by email, after which you can log in and set your personal preferences. There I opted for Dutch subtitles.
Almost all films, series and documentaries have subtitles in Dutch. If that is not the case, you can choose English subtitles (for those few), for example. By the way, you can click on that on your TV screen for each episode as you wish.
I must say that Netflix works quite logically and easily, you really don't have to be a net for it. The only drawback is that you involuntarily start watching too much television, which is a pity in this beautiful country.

I have a subscription to Netflix (Netherlands) and a subscription to VPN (recommended to me by a learned friend)
Via my laptop I receive Netflix Netherlands, with Dutch films and cabaret (Teeuwen, Meijer,
De Breij, etc.) Also 30 degrees in February.
Via "Apple TV" I receive the American version (no subscription) on my TV, with a different offer.
I am currently looking at the 2nd volume of NARCOS.
I can't get 30 degrees in February with this.
Some films and series do have Dutch subtitles. Others sometimes only English for the deaf and hard of hearing. "Car starts, dog barks".

I have had Netflix in Bangkok and ExpressVPN since February 2016, VPN offers other additional options and security.
Narcos in the two different versions is a must Yesterday started season two. The Vikings series is also recommended, as are many films that you have forgotten and can enjoy again. Dutch subtitles sometimes available otherwise English subtitles. You can set up multiple users in your account upon payment.

You don't use a VPN to get Dutch subtitles.
You can use a VPN in TH to make Netflix think you are in NL and thus view the range of Netflix in NL including NL subtitles.

I have Netflix from the day it is available in Thailand. Technically it is all in order, made logical even for an a-technical person like me. A major and incomprehensible disadvantage is that you expect, just like in NL where you have NL subtitles, that you will get Thai subtitles; not so. corresponded with them about it. They understand the shortcoming but are not going to do anything about it in the short term. My Nut doesn't speak English enough to follow everything, so that's a pity. I think the costs are very affordable (+/- €7,- per month). I find the offer satisfactory in a good price / quality ratio. It was strange that the series House Of Cards became available more than half a year later than in NL (still without Thai subtitles). It is an own production and you would say a worldwide release date. Corresponded with Netflix about this as well. Unclear explanation, something with rights, so nonsense because own production. I'm against any kind of Illegal viewing, It's just theft and I don't participate in that.
