Thailand's Consular Affairs Department has asked foreign residents aged 60 and over to quickly sign up for Covid-19 vaccination as authorities soon move to other groups.
The department said on Saturday that 2.661 elderly foreign residents had registered for vaccination at the Bang Sue Grand Station site and authorities will text them to confirm their appointment.
The current registration option is for foreigners in Bangkok and the neighboring provinces of Nakhon Pathom, Nonthaburi, Pathum Thani, Samut Prakarn, Samut Sakhon. They must not have received a Covid-19 vaccination before.
The Consular Affairs Department and the Disease Control Department will now focus on other age groups. As a result, all remaining unregistered foreign residents over the age of 60 must enroll as soon as possible.
