The embassy will organize a consular consultation hour in Chiang Mai on Thursday 19 September for Dutch nationals who have a passport or want to apply for a Dutch identity card or have their life certificate signed. Subsequently, a “Meet & Greet” and drinks for the Dutch will be organized from 18:00 in the presence of Ambassador Kees Rade.
If you would like to make use of the consular office hours or if you would like to register for the Meet & Greet drink, please register before 18 September 2019 by sending an e-mail to [email protected].
During the consultation hours you can apply for a (new) passport, Dutch identity card and for signing your life certificate for pension-paying institutions, such as the SVB. It is not possible to request consular certificates. After your registration you will receive more specific information about the time, the application you wish to submit and the required documents.

Would be nice if they also came to Udon Thani
It is a pity that here in Changmai, there is so little attendance.
While it is well organized.

?????
Hans, it's only in 2 weeks!
PEER, it has been to Chiang Mai many times before.
What is the turnout in estimated numbers?
I remember from the past that the consular office hours were always quite busy, first at the Amari hotel on the Doi Suthep road and later at a coffee shop run by a Dutchman and his Thai girlfriend.
Jan Beute
according to my information, if you live outside the EU - for example Thailand - you cannot apply for an identity card.
passport only.
I don't understand why this is mentioned...
maybe new rules?
Last year 2018 turnout 40 people..
2017 also about that much.
It was fun and well organized.
I think many more Dutch people live in and around Changmai than those 40 people.

If I understand H. van Mourik correctly, he is talking about the meet and greet that starts at 18.00 pm.
Jan Beute talks about the consular services that were provided in the past.
The consular services that are possible now, read Sept 19, are very limited and that won't call many people to take advantage of this opportunity, the passport should just be about to expire and you should have a life certificate just now in this period delivery of the SVB. Incidentally, I was happy that the one-day consulate came to Chiangmai at the beginning of 2018 and I was then able to renew my passport. Furthermore, signing the SVB life certificate at Chiangmai SSO is well arranged.
In any case, I am glad that the consulate/ambassador is coming, if only for a day, to the people in the far north.
