The still incomplete Sinterklaas committee is looking for volunteers who want to help organize the Sinterklaas party on Wednesday morning, December 5, a day off in Thailand, in the garden of the embassy in Bangkok.

We are looking for people who want to commit themselves to the preparations in the coming months, as well as people who can help on the day itself.

Committee members:

  • a person to maintain contact, administrative and verbal, with suppliers;
  • a member to keep the “to do” list and the final playbook. Scenarios from previous years are available (excel).

On the day itself:

  • 1 Master of ceremony (also needed during preparation and meetings).
  • 1 Assistant at the stage.
  • 2 Face painters to paint the Pieten on the "early" morning of December 5th.
  • 5 People at the entrance for registration and to receive gifts and put them in jute bags, make and issue name labels, etc.
  • (Black) Piets young and old(er) of which 1 Piet leader (also necessary during preparations and meetings).
  • 1 Balloon blower (with a blowing machine) and balloon hanger

If you feel like helping or have any questions, please contact Yvonne Meyer ([email protected]; subject: “Sinterklaas”). You do not have to be a member of the NVT.

The Golden Sponsor, KIS International School Bangkok, is again willing to support our traditional celebration, but the celebration can only be a success if enough volunteers are involved.

    Good to hear that the NVT still uses black shots. And don't participate in that silly bullshit
    of that that is discrimination and racism. Unfortunately I live too far away otherwise I would have made myself available
