Due to the corona crisis, His Majesty King Willem-Alexander, Her Majesty Queen Máxima and Their Royal Highnesses the Princess of Orange, Princess Alexia and Princess Ariane are celebrating King's Day at home at Huis ten Bosch Palace.

The Concertgebouw Orchestra has called on the Dutch to sing the Wilhelmus from the window at 10.00 a.m., after which Willem-Alexander will deliver a short message. This will be broadcast live by the NOS Journaal.

At 16.00 p.m., the King will close King's Day by raising his glass during the National Toast.

NOS King's Day, Monday 27 April, 10.10-11.40 a.m. on NPO 1 and NOS.nl

In the afternoon, the NOS will broadcast a repeat of 'Het Huis van de Koning' from 2017. King Willem-Alexander then turned fifty, and the program is about how 'ordinary' life in the Netherlands has developed over the past five decades. Scenes written by Ronald Giphart about the life of the De Koning family alternate with interviews with eleven well-known Dutch people who, like the king, were born in 1967.
