'It will be worst'
Friends from the Netherlands always do me a great favor with an original Dutch liverwurst. Until now, these sausages are not for sale in Thailand.
Rumors have been circulating here in Pattaya for some time now that this undesirable situation has come to an end. Because I initially also heard criticism about the hardness or rather the softness of the sausage, I thought it would be wise to wait a while. However, such a thing cannot be maintained for long, so this week I went, very curious, to Double Dutch, the well-known Dutch restaurant in Soi Welcome on the Beach Road of Jomtien.
The owner, Peter, greets me kindly and I ask if he indeed has liverwurst for sale. He has one and I say I want two. If they are tasty I will write a piece about them, I mention. Try it first, says Peter. Apparently he's sure of himself. The sausage seems fine to me, but at home this has to be proven. I pay and at home I immediately make a brown sandwich with liverwurst. Really excellent. Fine in hardness, fine in taste. Slightly spicier than some Dutch sausages. Two hours later the first sausage is gone.
Two more comments. The price for a sausage is 150 Baht. And the second comment: now I'm impatiently waiting for Peter to have time for the next experiment: ox sausage. Life in Pattaya is delightful.

Smoked sausage is now also available in Pattaya, Rinus from Restaurant My Way makes them entirely traditionally these days.
