Special food from the Isaan (video)
They sometimes say, in the Isaan they eat everything that walks, flies or crawls. And that seems to be quite right.
You will not easily find many Isan delicacies on a menu in the west and certainly not on the shelves of the fresh market.
Yet the food from Isaan has a good reputation and even the Bangkokians enjoy Som Tam now and then. The food from Isaan is now available in almost all of Thailand.
Try it yourself, it's cheap and often tasty too.

Everything is delicious except the dish with liver I haven't tried yet. I am not a fan of liver, in the Netherlands I sometimes eat veal liver.
