Ref: Thailand Visa Question No. 058/21: Income

Hello Ronny/Ossy,

Yes, you can download the visa support letter from the website of the Dutch embassy in Bangkok. You can request this in writing by completing the form and providing proof of your income from the Netherlands from your relevant WAO pension and other sources of income.

This will be neatly returned to you when they provide you with the visa support letter and send it to the self-stamped return envelope addressed to your address that corresponds to the Thai address registered at immigration.

You add 2000 baht cash to your application and you get change back.

Thanks, but it's all in the link anyway.

But why would you have to have it returned to the address on file with immigration? You can have it returned to any address. That has nothing to do with immigration, where that letter comes.

It is also still possible to arrange the letter of support directly at the counter at the embassy.
I did that myself in mid-February.
Easy for me because I have to go to Foreign Affairs to legalize the letter of support.
That is a requirement of the
    immigration in Rai Khing

Perhaps that wasn't the only thing you had to be at the embassy for?
The website states that the support letter can only be requested by post, transfer €50, include proof of income, annual statement or the like, copy of the transfer and a copy of your passport.

Don't forget to stamp the return envelope…

      That's why the link says:
“a self-addressed return envelope on which you affix the required stamp(s) yourself”

That address can be any address. I had it sent to my quarantine address at the end of last year, for example. As far as the tight time was concerned, it suited me better. When it comes to postage, they are also very flexible. I had applied from the Netherlands and had no Thai stamps. I was able to transfer the postage costs through a bank account. No problems at Immigration in Chiang Mai where I showed the statement.

I am also not saying that it is not allowed, as I indicated in my first response. A self-addressed envelope does not mean that it must be your home address.
