Information letter extending the period of stay 90 days NON O by one year (retired visa 800.000 baht) at Immigration Service Kantang. First to Krung Sri, to arrange things

  • Bankbook plus copies, and an update after I had withdrawn 500 baht.
  • Bank statement three months ago.
  • Bank certificate, all this at the Krungsri Bank, where you receive excellent assistance, was ready in half an hour.

Then to Amphur Kantang in Trang Province, which was quite busy on this rainy Monday morning. I had made a list in advance, so I knew what I had to submit.

  • TM 7 form plus a passport photo not older than 6 months.
  • Copy of passport, only the first page with photo, and the page with the visa page in my case.
  • Stamp, which I had received at the airport, upon arrival.
  • My Tambien Baan plus copy.
  • Copy TM 30 report.
  • Tambien My wife's job plus copy.
  • My wife's ID card plus copy.
  • Two pictures of myself and my wife in front of and in the house, I took three, she picked two.
  • A printout of Google maps, of the house and the neighborhood (drawing was not necessary).
  • Bankbook plus copies, and an update.
  • Bank statement three months ago, two was also enough.
  • Bank certificate.
  • 1900 baht

The copy of the 90-day visa was not required, nor was the copy of the boarding pass.

Upon entry, take a number and once it was my turn, all documents were handed over to the immigration officer, then I had to sign two forms regarding overstay.
All in all I was out again within an hour, with a stamp in my passport for 365 days and a small form stapled in my passport, with a date for the address report and 1900 baht lighter 🙂

I must say, the staff was very friendly, fast and helpful, maybe because they see that you have everything in order.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year everyone!

Thank you for submitting. I don't often read something from Kantang in the field of immigration.

Photos are not usually common at a Retirement, but I once had to do it in Kanchanaburi for a retirement.

I sometimes find it strange that people do not want to accept Google maps, especially if the house is also on it, but then they would rather see a drawing. Apparently they can read maps in Kantang 😉

I also wish you a Merry Christmas and a happy and healthy New Year.

    @RUDOLF,
Glad to hear everything went smoothly for you, with us here in Phuket things are chaotic due to the influx of Russian tourists.
After 2 years of retirement visa for COVID (without problems) now reapplied, 3 times (3 days) in the queue with a complete file.
Bank update in the morning because the one from the day before does not count. Have given up, here locally at emigration for an extension of 30 days, do border run at the end of January with 45 days tourist visa and 30 days extension and see in March when I leave for Belgium.
    Regards,
    Geert
