The TDAC (Thailand Digital Arrival Card) has been updated and you can now fill in:

  • Complete Country/Territory of Residence – The Kingdom of Thailand
  • City/State of Residence – Kanchanaburi (for example)

Those who have been deregistered and have their address in Thailand no longer need to worry.

Should people staying in Thailand for more than 180 days but with their legal address in their country of origin state Thailand or Belgium/Netherlands as their country of residence?

    • RonnyLatYa says up

If you are still registered in Belgium or the Netherlands, that is still your Country of Residence.

Staying in Thailand for 180 days or more does not change that.

    I see a visa number.
Is that your re-entry permit number or your annual renewal number?

    • RonnyLatYa says up

You can fill in the re-entry number there. Just like you did with the TM6 paper form.

I read on the Thailand Digital Arrival Card site:

    2. If the alien stays in the Kingdom for more than 90 days, he/she must notify the nearest immigration officer in writing of the place of residence as soon as possible after the end of the 90 days. This must be done every 90 days.

If I have a Tourist Visa Multi-entry 180 days, do I not need to make a Visa run anymore?
But after 90 days I can give written notice of the place of residence to the nearest immigration officer.

    Is this correct?

    • RonnyLatYa says up

No, that is just the 90 days address notification that one must do for every 90 days of continuous stay in Thailand. In other words, that applies to those who are allowed to stay in Thailand for more than 90 days.

Since you have a Multiple Entry Tourist visa (METV), this does not apply to you.
With a METV you cannot stay in Thailand for 180 days.

A METV has a validity period of 6 months (not 180 days). This simply means that during that 6 month validity period you can enter Thailand as often as you want.
However, with each entry you only get a maximum stay of 60 days. Those 60 days you can then extend once with 30 days (1900 Baht) if you want and then you have to leave Thailand.
You can then make a border run and with a new entry you will again receive 60 days, which you can extend once again by 30 days if you wish.
In summary, you can only stay in Thailand for a maximum of 60 days + 30 days per entry.
And in that case, the 90-day notification does not apply to you.
